I'm five weeks post-op, add me
-
It's officially one week post-op and I'm down 10 pounds. Wooooooo hoooooooo!!!!! I'm completely pain free and have been walking about three miles a day.
I'm getting in all my fluids, but struggling with Protein. liquid Protein is killing me. I loved my Protein shakes pre-op, but now they make me nauseous and it takes me two hours to get one down. I try to add some unflavored Protein into things, but it does not taste the greatest.
My sleeve is loving sugar-free popsicles and pudding, though.
How's everyone else doing? Everyone hanging in there?

Hey everyone! I was in no pain yesterday or today after surgery. The pain mess did their job until the car ride home. Since I've been home, I've experienced some pain and discomfort. The Gas-X strips helped a lot!
I hope tomorrow is better..... I get to start Protein Drinks tomorrow so hopefully I'll have more energy.
How's everyone doing this evening?

After six quick months, I will finally be sleeved tomorrow. I joined this site in May right after my PCP put my referral through. I jumped through all of Kaiser's hoops and met some amazing people along the way.
This site and the posters here have been invaluable to me during these six months, and will continue to be as I finally become a post-op patient. The advice, kind words, and support I have experienced here have been amazing.
I can't wait to come back from the hospital on Tuesday and write to you all as someone who has been sleeved.
Thank you for everything!

Possibly appendix. I had mine removed 15 years ago and that's where the pain was.

Oh no! I'm so sorry about your aunt.... you and your family are in my thoughts.
Hopefully the physical pain from the surgery will subside soon

HI! I teach 7th grade Language Arts in California. I won't be sleeved until November, but I've already told five co-workers (two of whom are my roommates).
I will tell my principal and that is all. I'm getting sleeved over Thanksgiving break (we get a week off) and will take off the week after. I've already begun a high Protein low carb diet with exercise so I'll have already lost weight when school starts back up next month.
I don't plan on telling any of my students... possibly a while after the surgery if they ask about the weight loss. I guess I'll decide when that time comes

That is awesome!!!! Keep up the good work

Wooooo!!!! That is awesome! I am hoping to be sleeved sometime in the fall, probably November, after jumping through all of my insurance's hoops. Sounds like you are on the right track and will be sleeved before you know it

Anyone wear smaller shoes now?

I just got rid of about half of my shoes. Pre-op I wore anywhere from a 9 to 10, usually a 9 wide if I could.
Today I wear an 8 1/2. My feet have thinned out and "shrunk" due to less weight and pressure on them.
I always called mine "Barney Rubble" feet before
