Hi all! I'm 9 days out and feeling great except I'm always bloated. Does this go away?

Have a confession to make. I'm only 6 days post op and I fell off the wagon today. I ate fine this morning but at dinner at my moms house she made a full turkey dinner for her and my brother with soup for me. It started with a little mashed potatoes mixed into my onion soup. Then it turned in to a spoonful of mashed potatoes in to my mouth. I ate until I thought I'd burst. Then I came home and thought "hum, I didn't get sick. Maybe I'll try some yogurt". I ate two yogurts, an applesauce, and a Protein Bar! I feel like cr**. I hang my head in shame. I hope I didn't hurt myself. :-(

On a positive note, at least I cheated with healthy choices! Lol!

Thank you all for your support! Tomorrow is a new day and a return to my commitment.

Is that including pre-op?

My dr said two weeks. I did it at 5 days. Didn't hurt.

I cheated too. I'm 5 days post op and I had pureed clam chowder and a margarita yesterday! At least I didn't eat the bread that came with it! Today is another day and a clean slate. Don't beat yourself up, just get back on track. No one is going to judge you here. We're all struggling together! :-)

I was banded on Wednesday too! Have you tried a heating pad? It might relax things. Just a thought.

Today is my day four and I feel great! I might even go out for a little bit today. I feel I no longer need to take the Tylenol and Advil that I was on. I'm able to drink an 11oz Atkins protein shake no problem. It's so nice to feel full with such small meals. I had no gas pain or nausea at all and the pain is going away quickly. Overall it's been a great recovery!

Just wanted to let you all know, I slept on my back and sides all night. Just a little pain when repositioning and I feel great this morning!

Home and resting comfortably. Little sore dry throat where the tube went in. Reclining in chair takes all pressure off my tummy. Sucking on ice chips, they're the best. Feeling very happy!

I'm having surgery tomorrow too! So excited!

Hi Letty, I'm getting banded tomorrow too! I'm not worried about the surgery or the pain. I am worried about the hunger I will experience until I'm in the green zone tho. Maybe we can cheer each other on?

I'm 5'5" and 193 lbs. I'm paying for my band which will be done on Wednesday. My *** won't do it. This is so important to me that I've decided to pay the $15,000 myself. I've real 1000's of posts on this site prior to making my decision because if it was easy, wouldn't everyone be doing it? Good luck to you. I hope you find a way to get it done. :-)

This sounds crazy but I miss wearing high heels! I'm afraid to break them! Lol! I want to cross my legs! I want to be fit and healthy.

That looks like a reasonable diet plan. Low in carbs and fat. Lots of protein to keep you feeling full. Plus you already lost 13 lbs?!!! Awesome!

I'm going to go with a liquid diet 3 days before just so my body is "clear" for surgery and recovery. I'm wondering if doing the Atkins diet will speed up weight loss post op. I want this fat GONE!

P.S. my surgery is June 27th. I don't mean to offend anyone. Just saying what my doc said.
