Yes! At first I had insanely violent scary dreams, figured out it was from the anti nausea Meds i was on...after being off them the dreams went away, but I am awake every day at like 5 or 6 now. Strange how my sleep patterns have changed!

I agree with advice above...you need to be seen ASAP

Left sided pain that is constant & doesn't stop, can extend into shoulder & left arm, fever, high heart rate. What are your symptoms?

Hey I am at a 2 week stall! Sucks.

I had to pay my surgeons portion at the pre op appointment a fee days before surgery, and I had to pay for my hospital portion upfront when we checked in. Some hospitals will bill you, but a pornographic surgeons and hospitals won't because it is an elective surgery.

Lol well being on a forum like this in general does that! But especially bfing is such a touchy subject & so many folks think that they are an expert, and there is so much outdated info out there!

I don't think anyone was asking advice on how to bf a baby or how to start solids... The question wasn't how to do that. And for the record, many narcotic pain Meds are perfectly safe for breastfeeding mothers, and telling a mother to pump & dump after surgery isn't good advice. For 24 hours because of anesthesia, perhaps, but many peds even debate that. Surgery is not a reason to decrease feeds and push solids unless you were already planning to do that anyway.

So I just wanted to update what's happened since surgery. I am 2 weeks out today, and I am still able to breastfeed. I am just breastfeeding once before bed, and I am still able to do it. If I forget to take the pill that increases my milk supply, I can for sure notice my supply drop. The first few days were hard as far as supply goes, but have gotten better everyday. The day I had surgery I didn't bf, but post op day 1 I did. It put a bit of uncomfortable pressure on my belly, but nothing I couldn't stand for a few minutes of bfing. I did try the football hold & that was most comfortable with no pressure on my stomach. Now it is almost back to normal except for a decrease in supply.

I have a 20 month old who is about 26 lbs. I am not supposed to lift him for 6-8 weeks. He burned his hand at 11 days post op & I had no choice but to pick him up, and I could totally feel it later that day & the next couple. My Dr says lifting won't do any damage to your actual sleeve, but it will cause the stomach incisions to POP open, and they are so used to heal once that happens. I would get help for at least a month if possible. If not, I get it...out of necessity sometimes we have to break rules.

Lizzy I have not had post op sex yet, but I feel you! After my baby they sewed me up too tight! Never fun, I hope they figure it out soon!

Mine bugged me for less than a month before they removed it. Typically if you are having issues they will order an ultrasound, and if it shows stones they remove it.

2 week long diet. As many Protein Shakes & clear liquids as I wanted. 14 lbs down in those 2 weeks.

I am actually beginning to wish leaks on people. This foolish behavior deserves consequences. Maybe not as bad as a life threatening leak' date=' but something...I suppose I can be happy knowing that if they are so silly as to push their program directly after surgery, despite the horrific medical consequences they could face, I should be at least happy knowing they weren't committed enough and they will likely be back in two years whining about their weight gains.Really, you ripped out most of your stomach and now you want to see if you can pop the dang thing because you feel you are immune to consequences. Smart...very smart![/quote']
Iggy I've seen you post on these posts over & over warning people about eating too many solids too soon, and causing a leak. I think many people here don't remember your story before you had it taken down, and so don't quite grasp the seriousness. I am sure that it feels defeating to share your pain and have people ignore it just to eat solids a bit earlier, but I just wanted to tell you it helped me immensely...because of your story I didn't cheat on preop and I won't cheat on post op. So thank you for sharing your story, especially that initial, painful thread.
To everyone cheating.... It seriously isn't worth it...in the scheme of things, does a 2 week diet really matter? Come on guys, 2 weeks to a month is nothing. You can do anything for a few weeks. When you look back on this years from now, the few weeks will hardly be a memory. Just do what you are supposed to.

I feel you.
For me, I can't keep up with fluids, let alone Protein. Every Protein Drink has upset my stomach. Milk upsets my stomach. Water upsets my stomach. If I could keep all that down & meet requirements then perhaps I wouldn't feel regret, but I do. I am totally unsatisfied. And people always say...oh after you are sleeved you won't be hungry, and your tastes will probably change... Well that didn't happen to me. I was sleeved 12/20 and want to eat a whole cake. I am not stupid enough to, but the desire is there.
I researched this long & hard, and miss eating huge amounts of food. Or any food at all, really. Full liquid diet sucks..

I do think I am on a few that I've never been on...perhaps I will look them over & do some research. Thanks for the point in that direction!

This is crazy, I am 5 days post op and my ears buzz when I am eating anything...such a weird feeling.

Ugh sorry about all the typos...I am day 2 post op & on some heavy duty painkillers.

Those whey shooters aren't the tight kind of Protein for you to be drinking. If you read the back the ingredients say so. You need pure whey isolate protein, and those are a different kind. If I remember right it is collagen protein. Drinking that won't help you at all, because your body won't break it down. Sorry to be a downer, just didn't want you to be wasting time, money, and stpmach space on that junk.
What was your hardest day of post-op recovery?

Indigo... clinically its well known that day 3 is the worst/most painful day of any injury & that was for sure my worst day & it gets better from there each day.
