  1. I just checked a bottle of vitamins I had bought before my surgery and compared it to the ones I buy at Walmart. The ones I bought on-line have much, much more than the ones from walmart. I bought them Unjury.com I guess I need to start taking them!!
  2. Could you have eaten to much?
  3. I have titanium staples also, they will be there forever and my stomach will heal together. I'm 22 weeks out and I'm doing fine. I would get the "slimmies" for the first 4 to 6 weeks.
  4. I take gummie vit. They are good and fruity. I buy them at Walmart.
  5. I've subscribed to your youtube channel, can't wait to watch all of your videos. When I've talked to a plastic surgeon in Shreveport, she wanted $60,000 for everything I want to do. I can go to Costa Rica and pay $8,000 to $10,000. Not worried about going out of country for surgery. Did you use a plastic surgeon or cosmetic surgeon?
  6. I can't wait for my reconstructive surgery. Where did you have yours? $5800 seems low for the States. I've been looking in Costa Rica.
  7. I'm losing my hair too. Not worried about it. I understand that my body is changing and this is normal. Try to get 50 to 70 grams of protein a day. It's hard for me to eat that much protein.
  8. It's in your profile under "tickers"
  9. Have you looked into having your surgery in Mexico? That's where I went, because our insurance wouldn't pay for it. I had my surgery on September 21 and I'm down 60 lbs. If you have any questions, just let me know.
  10. When I went to Mexico, I flew United. When I was flying home, I upgraded to first class to be more comfortable. The best $75 I've ever spent...
  11. I will be 2 months tomorrow. What I do when I eat is I take a bite and I will push my plate away and/or push myself away from the table. I will chew and chewwwww..... I try to wait a few minutes between bites. Now, with that being said, if I eat some oatmeal or an egg, there is no way it will take me 30 minutes. I am getting better about not overeating. I haven't thrown up in over 3 weeks!!
  12. I had my surgery on 10-21 and I still eat too fast sometimes. I take very small bites and I will put my fork down and will actually push my plate away!! I haven't thrown up lately, which is awesome!! I hate throwing up. If you do too, you will learn to slow down.....
  13. I received the best medical care in PV!! I would do it again.
  14. I like what the others posted and would like to add, How selfish is he?? This is about your health. God has a plan and he's not in it!!! Lesson learned. Now take sometime to focus on you then you will find someone who loves you for you.
  15. I did when my surgery date got closer, but it was the best thing I did for ME!! It's normal to be nervous.
  16. I've heard of the trash talking from one company about another. Just have to go with your gut and choose a Dr. for you. I used Dr. Lopez and I highly recommend him.
  17. Glad you've started your journey!! I'm almost 8 weeks out. I would do it again in a heart beat...
  18. I went through A Lighter Me and it cost $4500 to have your surgery in TJ. $5000 in Puerto Vallarta.
  19. Hi, my name is Jean and I've been posting on this website for a few months. I've noticed how some people think that it can't be "that easy" or safe to go to Mexico and have this surgery. We must be "fakes" or "plants" by the surgeons. Yes, anyone can be anything on the internet. Not only did I do my research on this site, but I also researched on YOUTUBE. By doing that, I felt connected to others who have had the surgery. You can watch their progress from video to video. With that being said, I started documenting my weight loss journey on Youtube. If you are interested in following my story, please subscribe to my Youtube channel, VSGJean. Send me a message on youtube so I know you are from Vertical Sleeve Talk.
  20. I've had beef and I'm almost 7 weeks out. I've read where some people can't tolerate beef or pork. Just remember not to over do it.
  21. I used Dr. Lopez. I went to Puerto Vallarta and I paid an extra $500 for that location. I had my surgery in a brand new hospital. It was the best medical care I've ever received. I would have had my surgery in TJ if I had gone by myself.
  22. I've joined a gym, but have only been once. I've been busy at my son's school.. Really need to go, I know I would start dropping the lbs quick. I like the treadmill and I will do weights. Might do some Zumba..
  23. I'm 6 weeks out and when I fix my plate at home I use a dessert/bread plate. If you go out for dinner, I can't eat a whole chicken strip. I can't even eat half a sandwich. I like to get a small chili from Wendy's and it takes me 4 hours to eat the whole cup...
  24. I went to Puerto Vallarta and used Dr. Lopez. I would do it again in a heartbeat. The best thing I've ever done JUST FOR ME.
