  1. If You Use Vitamins Or Protein powders, You Need To Read This...and Share It With Everyone You Know. by slojo67 Jul 10, 2012 9:35 AM Weight Loss Surgery Weight Loss Pregnancy Seniors Heart Health Vegetarians Cancer Patients Unjury Brand Vitamins, Protein Powder by slojo67 Jul 9, 2012 2:45 PM I just ordered 100 lap-band chewable vitamins and 15 unflavored protein packets from Unjur for 56.00. This is medical quality protein that can be added to my puree's, shakes, coffee (haha). I find this very reasonable price. I have to have packets for the plane flights to Mexico in August for surgery. Plan to add these twice daily pre-op and post op. This will equal 50g protein that I won't have to worry about achieving some other way... And the vitamins are chewable... (Read More) 5 Comments

    Received Band Wagon Book Today!

Just received my Band Wagon book today. It's pretty informative. I also filled out my history papers for Dr. Swain for my post op care/fills. Seems like the day will never get here! Buddy, my husband, is out west on the motorcycle, the kids are all staying here with me. Been trying to get some sun on my body, tried to go to lake the other day but it rained. So i guess I'll just stay pale. Just trying to pass the time. I'm on this site probably 75% of the day, just trying to find someone who's going to my surgeon on the same day. I even got on verticlesleevetalk.com to try to find someone. Thought I had found someone on there but then I lost her and couldn't find her again. I'm just ready to go and get the rest of my life started. We're going to add a porch/new roof/carport this fall to the house i'm ready to get on with that as soon as my husband and I both get back from our trips... We have alot going on. I start dayshift at my nursing job tomororrow morning. I've gained 30 lbs. since going on nights 8 mo. ago. though dayshift would aid in my wt. loss. It's hard to know when to eat working nights, and I haven't been sleeping enough. Also when all of this is over i'm going to finish nursing school. I have 5 classes to go (online) then clinicals to complete my BSN in nursing. I've been working on it for 10+ years and have to finish it this year. I HAVE to!!! Otherwise alot of money will go down the drain. Not just in wages, but the cost of college will be wasted.Well, I'm "just a waitin!). Gotta go ....

    Who pays for any complications?

I'm having surgery with dr. almanza-reyes in Mexico, in august, he has a 300.00 policy which covers ANY complications, including airline flights, motel rooms etc, for 6 months. For 500.00 it covers you for a year. I'm doing the year policy... Just in case...

Things I Won"t Miss After My Surgery!

I wont miss not being able to wear 75% of the clothes in my closet. I won't miss people asking me when my baby is due.... I won't miss being hot all the time. I won't miss wishing I looked good in this or that while shopping. I won't miss my legs, feet and back hurting all the time...
  16. I've heard that this is pretty normal as the incisions heal.

    If you're at 5cc it's probably either a 10cc (most likely) or a 14cc band.

    August Roll Call

I'm here! I'm August 28th and time is crawling....
  24. Well, I got good news and bad news. First of all I don't even have a band yet but I am a nurse and have researched EVERYTHING there is to research on the net about the band. My surgery date is august 28th, can't wait. I have a best friend that was banded 3 years ago and lost 120 lbs she looks awesome...Never had any trouble...But, the bad news is, they use general anesthesia, it's hard to eat bread with the band for some p eople, (my friend can't eat bread it sticks..) she does better with crunch things believe it or not. As far as the lifting, yes there are restrictions you'll have to ask your surgeon about the specifics. But I guarantee you won't be sorry you did it...If you do it... it's a big lifestyle change, but that's why it works!!!
