Im going July 17 to Dr Garcia too. I have only told a handful of people, the ones I know who would wither be supportive or just not have an opinion. Its really hard..I really want to tell my mom, who is skinny as a rail and always has been, but she will have a fit! I am telling everyone that im going to a class the week im gone. Sucks but its better than hearing everyones crap and opinions. You know where your support group is.. and this site is also great!! Your biggest fan should be YOU!! You can do it and it will be OK!! I'd love to hear about your experience when you get back!!!

I wish it was tomorrow.. at first when I was scheduling I didnt want to do it too quickly, now im wishing I had done it sooner lol impatient just a little

From what I have read, Dr Kelly uses no drain.. does anyone have an opinion about This? Where does the fluid go if you dont have a drain? I heard that it is alot less painful without the drain but is it ok to drian inside your body? This is probably more of a medical question..

We are all different shapes and sizes, we all have supportive and non supportive people in our lives. But its us that have to look in the mirror daily.. who cares what other people say, everyone will always have an opinion.. it would be nice if they kept it to themselves sometimes.. Thank god for my hubby, he's so supportive, I dont know what I would do without him! wont it be awesome when were all skinny and our non supporters are like"WOW" ! Looking forward to those days!

go to travel.state.gov and look into the passport expidited process.. you can also check online to see where it is in the process. Im going to Seattle to the actual office, I can get it possibly same day or it may take up to 5 business days. You can look on the website for local offices in your area.. you may want to consider that.. its costs more but your garunteed to be let back in the states! Do not go without.. you may never get back!!

What a great thread! I just scheduled my sleeve yesterday and I wish I could tell the world, my bmi is 34.66 im 228 +/-. I have only told a handful of people and im pretty sure it will stay that way.. sucks but I just dont want to hear it from people my goal is 128, not sure if thats realistic but ive always wanted to be tall and slender.. thanks everyone for sharing

dr garcia july 17, wheres Dr Rod?

I have made up my mind of who to go with and I choose Dr Garcia. I was workind with another coorinator, who apparently nop longer works for the particular DR.. and I thought that it would have an impact on the cost, etc, but it does not. Alma contacted me from Dr Garcia, first she emailed me then she called me. I really felt like she knows her stuff and is there for us to help us all the way through. I was emailing her last night and she was replying.. I never imagined that she would but low and behold.. Im glad I have someone who I can contact at any time and within a matter of hours have an answer.. I am going alone and I told her that, she was so reassuring and let me know that there are 2 gals who will check on me at the hotel..

yes, well the first night pre- op is at hotel, then 2 nights at hospital MI, thats the name of the hospital, then 2 more nights at hotel. I cant imagine going back and forth in a van and staying at a house.. im sure its going to be fine for you but I feel more comfy at hotel/ hospital. Dr Garcia is $5000 for everything but airfare to SanDeiago. I think its worth the extra $500 for comfort and stability. But who am I to talk, I haven't gone yet Ask me in a month ..

I just joined this site, I just got my date today July 17!! Cant wait.. I wish I could tell more people but I know what they will say.. im not big enough for surgury and im nuts to do it in Mexico.. im 5'8 and weigh 228 today and have battled all my life with my weight.. im ready to shop in the misses department and buy a size thats not double digits! lol I decided to go to Mexico after a friend of mine did a few months back and had a great experience and looks great! My insurance doesnt cover the procedure, so im self pay. Id love to have some july buddies.. anyone going to mexico? Dr Fernando Garcia? Love this site and all the support!!

I am trying to decide which DR to use.. Im down to Garcia and Kelly.. the only difference is see is the drain.. they both seem to have good reviews and at one time worked together.. all good things come to an end sometimes.. but that smy delemma. My friend had hers done in january and really likes Garcia.. I just cant get over the no drain thing with Kelly.. I guess if he uses it sometimes.. thats good, maybe personal preference?

Does anyone know about IUD and the Sleeve? All this talk about periods and im wondering if I need to address anything with my IUD before surgury?
