  1. I have Fibromyalgia, I have had it for several years. I had my surgery Nov.28th and it has been the greatest thing I have ever done for myself. I have pain daily and have only take taken Motrin for relief. My Doctor doesn't want me taking Motrin ever again. So extra strength Tylenol is it. I have sever leg and back pain but 55 pounds gone i have noticed its not as bad. I also use heat. Hot showers before bed every night so I can sleep. 40 pounds to go and I'm praying it will make a big difference. Hang in there all. Take care!

  2. I have been drinking Premiere shakes since Nov. pre-op they are great tasting and I love the choc. The last couple of cases seemed a lot thicker so I finally called the company. They were very apologetic and they said they were perfectly fine to drink but there was a problem they were trying to fix. They offered to send me a few new cases. I wasn't expecting that!!! I went to SAMs club today and the formula was straitened out and they were fine.

  3. I had the same pain and rash. I had a reaction to the solution they wash the belly off with before surgery. It's yellow and the rash was exactly every place they washed and stopped on my sides. The pain at the sight of the biggest incision on my right really hurt and I couldn't stand up strait. It was 2 full weeks that it hurt, each day after was less and less. 3 weeks almost normal. My Dr said that's where they take a really big stitch on the inside and it's normal. Hang in there it's so worth it!!! I'm 12 weeks now and I'm half way to my goal... Down 48 lbs it's awesome!!!

  4. I'm sorry your in pain. I didn't have gas pains until the car ride home it was from the bumps in the road, it just stirred it up I guess. Gas-X helped it went away fast. I couldn't take the liquid pain meds so I just got through the pain without anything. It hurt! Walking was when it really hurt the most. I would shake it hurt so much. After a week it was more tolerable, but it took 2 weeks before I could just go out walking and I had to because it was 10 days before Christmas and I needed to do my shopping. Hang in there it goes by fast I'm at 10 weeks now and it's great!!

  5. Hi, your doing so awesome!! The working out everyday is paying off big time. Congratulations!!! You will be there for your vacation I'm sure. One question? I'm 9 weeks and I haven't even tried salad yet. I have had really good luck, I haven't had any issues with food I can eat anything. You can tolerate salad at 7 weeks? That's great!

Also...What Protein bars have you found that we can have. I'm needing some new food ideas.

  6. My surgery was Nov 28th, I did a full 2 week liquid diet starting Thanksgiving week. 5 days that week I spent in Disneyland with family and friends. I did not cheat one bite on vacation. Came home and faced Thanksgiving with my family of 30. Took my Protein Shake along and no problem. I lost 17 pounds in 2 weeks before surgery. Had surgery 10 weeks ago this Wednesday.

The first 2 weeks were painful, because once I got home I couldn't take Loritab it has 7% alcohol in it and I'm allergic to alcohol so I just went no meds cold turkey.

The reason I'm elaborating is...if your having this much trouble with the pre op diet maybe your not ready. Your mind needs to be completely ready. If your falling apart at dinner I'm worried about you. This is a major surgery, you are making a decision that is permanent. Do some serious soul searching, ok? You don't want to do something you regret.

I have lost 47 pounds, and feel wonderful! Everyone I run into tells me how great I look. It's amazing! My goal is 100 pounds and in 10 weeks I'm just about half way there.

Please make sure your ready to make this life changing decision.

If dinner time is hard, Go for a walk and stay busy.

My husband has been so helpful. He took over the cooking for the kids and himself. So I don't even have to think about it. I just grab my shake and leave the room. If something like that is an option for you try it.

I wish all of you pre op people luck!

Stay strong it's so worth it!????

  7. I was allergic to the pain med. Loritab because of the alcohol in it. I didn't take anything after the first dose at home and had a reaction. The pain when I would get up off the couch was pretty bad on my right side on and around my larger incision. I also had a lump under it. I slept in a recliner for the first week because the pain was to bad to lay down. Walking hurt, standing was super painful and showering I shook the pain was so bad! No pain meds at all! I'm sure if would have taken the Norco they sent me on day 3 I might off been in less pain. So take your pain meds. At day 15 woke up and no pain!

I had do get out and do all my Christmas shopping so I had no time for pain... I was so tired but I did it. I definitely got my walking in!!

I'm 7 weeks Wednesday and I'm down 36 pounds and I feel great! Everyone has been saying how great I look, it feels wonderful!!

So pain is common, my Dr said that's where he takes a really big stitch. He said on the outside its an inch long but on the inside its a lot bigger, through mussels ect.

But call your bariatric team they will advise you what to do.
