  1. I got a card with my box. You can order a permanent one from lapband.com. It's free.
  2. I haven't experienced it but it might be something going on with your port. Call your dr ASAP!
  3. He put in 1.5 cc's and I had 4 in from the beginning. I'm at 5.5 in a 10 cc band. I definitely feel tighter now I guess it's kinda wait and see what's bearable. I got some soft food down yesterday.
  4. Hello, I'm from Jax and love my surgeon, Dr. Pinnar. Down 32 pounds total.
  5. Is it normal to burp a lot after a fill?

  11. I'm flying next week, has anyone had a problem with the scanners? I do keep my card in my wallet, so hopefully, I won't. I'm just worried about being embarrassed, I guess.
  12. I'm super excited and had a good visit with my doc today, he was thrilled with my progress. I was so relieved, I'm happy with how I've been doing but it was nice to have the confirmation. Hope I take the fill well!
  13. Phew, thanks for the posts! I'm 5 weeks post surg and went water skiing yesterday. Had a couple good wipeouts and a total blast!
  14. Is anything off-limits? For example, water skiing, bungee jumping, activities that jostle you around?
  15. I had band and hernia repair on 5/31 and the chest pain finally got better about 5 days ago. It's more occasional now but was constant for a good 10 days after surgery. Hang in there.
  16. I'm 2 weeks post-op and tummy bloating is getting better but still there. I've been wearing dresses to work. Today I wore pants but unbuttoned them and folded it in, luckily they stayed up with the zipper!
  17. Thanks for all the responses. I'm a newbie, so it's interesting to see how something's work for some and different things for others.
  18. Do you count protein shakes as one of your 3 meals per day or can they be supplemental to them if needed?
  19. Dannon has a "diabetic friendly" yogurt I found at Publix (I live in the south). Low sugar and low carb and small cups :-)
  20. Thanks, I've been using lotion around but no on the area and I was thinking about taking some benadryl. Thanks, I was starting to feel like a freak, lol.
  21. Probably sounds weird but my tummy is super itchy! Surgery was 5/31. I still have 2 Steri strips in place and blotchy red marks around them and where the others were. Anyone else have a problem?
  22. I've considered chewing and spitting it out, too, so you aren't alone. 11 days post-op and did 7 days liquid pre-op. Can't wait for a little cube of cheese or something!!!
  23. I got my band and hiatal hernia repaired 5/31. Still having a lot of chest pain. I'll try the gas x, thanks for the tips.
