to Newbody12: I walk 2 miles 5 days out of the week if I get the chance some days I try to get to 3 miles. I eat healthy 60% of the time to be honest, which I know it should be all the time, old habits do die hard. I eat every 3-4 hours, but I have to remind myself cause otherwise I can go 5-6 hours & realize I haven't ate. But in between my meals I drink Water all the time. How about yourself?

Hi Newbody, I also had my surgery Aug 6th. I lost 24lbs pre-op & 21lbs post. Omg I understand where you're coming from so far this has been a hard struggle.

Thank you. It sure is a journey, man. I do/ did apologize every time for snapping at them & they say its okay, but I think it does bother them. I hope so!!! I have upped my exercise more by 2 hours added on to my walking. Also I have just now started doing weights little ones, lol, but I'm going to work my way up to heavier weights eventually.

Thank you all for the replies, I'm glad I'm not alone in feeling like this. Sorry it took so long to reply. It's gotten alot better, but I do still have my days.

I'm 10 1/2 weeks out. My surgery date was Aug. 6th. The recovery for me was so crazy, I was in bad pain for 5 weeks. I had all kinds of crazy emotions, some days happy, mostly sad & crying, some days snapping at my husband & kids for reasons I still don't know. I still feel my stitches, like a pulling feeling, my doctor say their healing. Yesterday I actually started finally feeling like my old self. I'm finally happy, through all the pain I am glad I got the sleeve.
Start weight 252
day of surgery 220
Today 208
I've lost 30lbs pre-op, post op 14lbs. I can't wait till I'm in ONEDERLAND, I haven't been there in 11 1/2 years. Just 8lbs to go.

I'm in a stall' date=' but I wouldn't say it's hell. I've only lost about 6 pounds post-op. while it is a bit disappointing, i get it. I lost 30+ pounds in the 3 month pre-op diet. I know my body and it has always fought me at 210(ish.). Seems to be it's resting point.Sleeved 8/21
Current weight 212
Date in May: 253[/quote']
I feel just like you. I was sleeved 8/6.
Current weight 210-213.
In April 24th 253.
I lost most of my weight on pre-OP diet only 10lbs since actually being sleeved. Need help I want to see the scale move down, not be at a stand still anymore.

I wish I had known early post op how hard dealing with the loss of my food would be. although im fine now' date=' it was hard the first couple of weeks. I even regretted the surgery at first. But now, 98 lbs lighter and 5 months later, it was all worth it.[/quote']OMG, I'm the same way. I'm 3 weeks out,Monday & just about ever other day I'm crying to my husband like a big baby having a tantrum about doing the surgery because I want food. I'm sooooooooo hungry. I can't wait Monday I finally get to have pureed food. Yay!!!!

Thanks Everyone' date=' this topic is really helpful. I had my surgery August 1, 2012 and I am starting to experience some of the things you all are talking about. My husband just told me the other day that since my surgery, my morning breath is really bad. Also, is anyone experiencing the Saliva in the mouth constantly?[/quote']
I thought that was just me

Ok, so I'll be 3 weeks Monday & I'm feeling this tugging/ tighten feeling mainly on/ down my side's is this part of the healing process (is it the stitches)? I've never had surgery before &/or stitches so I'm not sure what's going on? I'm so confused...

Hi Melting Me: I'm 15 days out today & I only lost 2lbs in 2 weeks. I did lost a total of 31 lbs, but pre-op 28 & then just 3 post so far, it sucks.

The nurse just told me I'd be moving that Mush around. I hope I spelled that right. I lay on my right side every time I get in the bed & forget I can't lay on my side till she tells me. It hurts my back laying on it sometimes.
-
When can we lay on our side(s)? Since my 2nd day out of surgery I could lay on my right side. But when I went to my 1st check up I asked & they told me not yet. So when can we lay on our side?
-
Lol & under my neck (this is embarrassing, I can't believe I'm saying this) every 3-5 days.
-
I use Nair & only have to shave my legs & do under my arms like once a month. Now my eyebrows & above my lip I do that like every two weeks.

Sweetpea1 Hello, a friend of mine just had the VSG on the 25th of July! She has been experiencing pain on the left side and she describes it as feeling like stitches popping inside her.
I'm the same way. I had my surgery Aug. 6th & my mind started two days ago I feel the same way. Like my stitches are popping inside me. From all of my insicions, but at different times.

Okay, thanks everyone.
