Okay, thanks everyone.

Before surgery I never slept at night & I was had a prescription for sleeping pills & still couldn't sleep. Now I'm 12 days out every night around 10:30 I get real sleepy. I may fall asleep about 11/ 11:30 & wake up between 6:30 & 8:30 depending on if one of my kids wake me up first.

I'm 8 days out & yesterday I got to start with phase 2 soups & stuff. I ate some soup & drank crystal light, took a nap woke up & I had such a sour/ bitter taste in my mouth. What is that all about? I brushed my teeth twice, rinse my mouth & then drank some water & finally got rid of that bad taste. Is this normal?

I feel the exact same way.

I'm 9 days out & I'm having a rough time every time I smell food I feel as thou I am going to go crazy if I don't get any. I'm on phase 2. I am so ready for food. It seems as everyday I am regretting getting this done as of right now. I mean I cry & throw a tantrum like a 3 with my husband. ( over food) What's going on with me?

maryjane61 I know that's what I keep saying, I hope my husband didn't waste his money, I don't want to let him or myself down. I just want to stop thinking about food so much. I know I am just 9 days out, but will those thoughts ever go anyway?

Anyone else incisions are itching? My incisions are itching real bad is that suppose to happen?

OMG, thank you guys. They itch so bad. I was rubbing, then it started to have a burning sensation. I'm only 8 days out. How long will the itching last?

I still have gas just not as bad this morning, thanks for the encouraging words. But I am so hungry now, I think.

As of today almost a week out & this gas is still just as bad as it was when I left the hospital.

Hi everyone I had my surgery Aug 6th. When I woke up I felt ok, till they made me get up & walk around. While walking I would vomit clear vomit. The nurse kept telling my husband she's not going to do anything it's just the nausea she's felling. But I kept vomiting & vomiting. It hurt like crazy to walk at first, it got better. But I still have gas so bad. It feels like menstrual cramps times 5 to me. I'm only 3 days out but I'm ready for the gas pain to leave. Other than the gas pains. Its getting better.

I have the same problem. This gas is kicking my butt. No matter what I still have had gas. Someone HELP ME. I have Gas X thin strips. Also a prescription from my Dr. I don't know what to do???/

I'm the same way. My surgery was Mon., Aug 6th. & I have bad gas when I take my meds. prescribed by my doctor they help a little, bit. I can't wait till the pain goes away. I also, had an hernia repair.

Good morning everyone. I also had my surgery Aug 6th @ 4:30-6:30. I came home Aug 7th around 6. This gas does not play.

It's finally here, surgery day. I have to be at the hospital @ 4:30 am & they say they will start @ 6:30. I'm so nervous. But ready to get this over with...

I am mad at myself, I cheated & on the 5th day I still have 10 days left before my surgery grrrr. I'm so stupid.

2 more days then the beginning of my new life starts.

Hi everyone I'm starting my liquids this Monday the 23rd & surgery date is August 6th. I'm so excited & scared out of my mind at the same time. Is this normal? Also, I have been having doubts thinking of canceling. I don't know if it's just my nerves or what. I keep saying to myself what if I don't wake up. What if i can't handle the pain (going thru the recovery process & everything)? But i do want to be healthy. My husband says either way he will still love me, no matter if i decide to go through with it or not. What's going on with me? I was so really for this in April....

Got my call earlier today I'm set for 6:30am @ Forest Park Medical Center, with Dr. Kim. Monday, Aug 6th. I'm so excited, alittle nervous, but not as nervous as i thought I would be.

Phillygirl8133 Thanks Phillygirl, I've lost 19 lbs so far I still have 4 days left before my big day. The closer I get the more scared I get.
