  1. Ill admit it, I've had a few days where I was probably around there. Ill be honest, alcohol was involved in one of them (no lectures please!). The others were just way too much grazing and where there was food all around me. Those are not normal numbers for me. I am for 600-800 cals most days. I always feel crappy with myself if I go over 1,000, but we are human, we have slip ups. I've been fortunate enough (or unfortunate really) that no food bothers me. Bread is fine, sweat don't get me sick. Nothing. I don't even get drunk off of alcohol the way others say they do. I had my first drink after surgery and was waiting to get drunk and it never happened. So I have to really watch myself carefully with my choices. I wish I had some issues with SOMETHING lol. But yea I've had a few high calorie days but as long as you pull yourself back up and do the best you can after, that's all that matters.
  2. Hubby doesn't really bother me, but the abbreviation DH just irks me sometimes. (Darling husband or Dear husband) I just find it silly when someone could easily just say husband. It just sounds kind of sarcastic to me lol. I don't know. Not much bothers me but that one kinda does.
  3. This happened to me too. I freaked out. I was on a losing streak then BAM gained 3 pounds for no reason. I was eating well and even exercising. Was so upset and confused. I had gotten down to 305 then saw 308. I bounced around with those 3 pounds for 2 and a half weeks! SO frustrating. But you know what? I got on the scale yesterday and saw 302! So it does pass and you WILL lose them. The body just fluctuates. It's frustrating and disheartening but it happens but eventually the scale goes down. Hang in there!
  4. Signing up for this one too since the V day one ended. HW 379 SW 359 CW 302 Challenge goal 290. 12lbs. Fingers crossed! I weigh in on Wednesdays.
  5. I'm coming into this challenge late but the V day challenge ended and I need another challenge to motivate me lol Surgery date 11/14/12 HW 379 SW 359 Today 302 Challenge goal 292 Since I only have a month left 10lbs is kind of ambitious for me especially since I've been stalling lately. So fingers crossed and we will see!!
  6. Thanks so much! You're doing awesome too! It's frustrating at times to come under JUST short of where you want to be, but we'll get there! Yay!
  7. Happy 3 months all! I'm down 77lbs (lost 20 pre op) Im at 302 now SO badly wanted to see 299 by my 3 months surgiversary but I finally broke a stall so I'm okay with that. 2 pounds till I say bye bye to the 300's forever! Yay!! Hope everyone is doing great!
  8. Surgery date 11/14/12. So exactly 3 months today! HW 379 SW 359 LW 305 TW 302 V day goal was 306 so I did it!! I wanted to see 299 SO badly but I stalled and yo yoed for several weeks so I'm happy with finally seeing the scale move. 302 still makes my goal so I'm happy!
  9. At two months you should be fine. My dr said 6 weeks. Some say 6 months. It really depends on the surgeon/nut. I've had plenty of salads since then and I'm fine!
  10. It's starting to happen more and more for me. I'm single, but it's still kind of weird and some times it throws me off and I don't know how to act. I did get hit on before even at my biggest, but it's getting more frequent now and from men that I would actually have interest in and honestly my mind is still kind of learning how to deal with it. I've never been really good at flirting or telling if someone is interested in me or just being nice lol so it's a learning experience. But I will say there are days where it's much appreciated and a nice boost to the ego. Even if your not single receiving attention or a compliment always adds a boost of self confidence for the day which can never hurt
  11. Oh and I've had an easy time with food. No problems with anything I've eaten so far. All has been good! I know I'm very lucky lol
  12. Thanks. I didn't have to do a pre op diet. I basically just did low carb for a while before and lost 20 pounds. My doctor was not very strict on that. As for post op things were okay. I was in a lot of pain the first few days- wasn't exactly as easy as a recovery as some people I read on here. So the first few days I wasn't very hungry anyway. I had to do Clear liquids for the first 3 days then full for a week then purée then mushy. It went by pretty fast. I was super great-full to chew again lol. Just take it one step at a time with that.
  13. Yup Health First. I did. Has surgery on 11/14 down 74lbs so far (20 was pre op) I feel great! Best decision I've made
  14. They surprisingly approved me in one day! I was really scarred because my surgeons team really harped on how difficult they were to approve surgery but thankfully they approved me fast. Even the financial office was surprised! Good luck to you! Hope all goes well!!
  15. This is encouraging. I'm about 2 and a half months out and recently gained 3 pounds and its killing me! I've been great with eating and even exercise. I'm gonna step up the water and protein and hope that helps! Thank you!!
  16. I'm right there with you. 2 and a half months out and I actually GAINED 3lbs and I don't know why. I was eating okay and I even had started exercise and the scale wouldn't move. I've finally lost 2 of those pounds so its moving in the right direction but won't be happy until I see a loss. Hang in there it's very frustrating but eventually we'll get past It.
  17. My highest was 379 (well highest known) today Im 305. Soooo close to the 200's!! I lost 20 pre op and was sleeved on November 14th. It's been great so far I feel Sooo fantastic!! I'm in a bit of a stall right now but I know it will break. Even just losing the 74lbs I have I feel amazing and know it will only get better!
  18. Who the heck gives surgery approval with out getting anesthesia approval? It's not like you can opt out on the anesthesia, they kind of go together lol! I really hope you get that sorted out soon!
  19. Congratulations!! I can relate. At my heaviest (over 380) I was pushing the size to the very end of what most plus stores carried. I was a 26/28 with some things very tight. It was frustrating to not be able to shop in even plus size stores that didn't go past a 24 and a lot of the trendy cute ones don't. I always said to myself when starting this journey that I would be SO grateful to just get back into regular plus sizes. Now I'm down 74lbs and a size 22 and its AWESOME!! I went into H&M recently (they now have a plus size line here in NYC which is awesome) and I tried on a 3X top and it was TOO BIG!! That has pretty much NEVER happened to me! I was too big for the last size in most stores like that just a short time ago and now a 3x was too big! It was a surreal feeling!! Anyway I can definitely relate to what your saying. Can't wait of you to get down to a 28!!
  20. Those look awesome! Great idea!!
  21. I love my toaster oven! So much easier then using the whole oven for a tiny portion!
  22. Oh and eggface has some great Greek yogurt dipping sauce ideas. One that stands out in my mind was with cucumber Lemon Greek seasoning garlic powder. Use it as a dip for meat- lamb would be delicious with this I think!
  23. I always use it on my chilli it tacos in place of sour cream (you can use low carb tortillas or lettuce cups for tacos)
  24. Hi guys. I'm from The Bronx but super close to both Weschester and southern Connecticut (about 30 minutes from Stamford)
