  1. 6 months post op Breakfast- low fat string cheese (wasn't very hungry) lunch left over tilapia from last night. Some sliced avocado and pita chips dinner stuffed chicken breast (stuffed with spinach and low fat mozzarella cheese) and brussle sprout leaves cooked with some bacon and cranberries. Sooo yummy! Snack skinny cow chocolate pop
  2. My starting weight was 379. There were many people here who were in your weight rane. There are also many people with higher weights such as myself who have had great sucess. Good luck on your surgery!
  3. Thank you. I haven't been the model sleever all the time but my best tip is to stick to the plan, I know it sounds like kind of a 'duh!' thing to say, but its so easy to say 'Oh I'll just have a little bit of this since I can't eat much anyway' and those 'little bits' add up. Also weigh your food! I fell into the trap of not doing that. I'm the kind of person that will try to 'clean my plate' even post op, if I put too much food I still had the urge to finish it all. Weighing it out really helps. Tracking your food is important and I always do better when I'm doing it. Myfitnesspal is a great resource! Thank you to everyone for the encouragment!
  4. Thanks! Yes I did' date=' quite a bit. I'm still losing it. I cut my hair pretty short around month 4 (those are extentions in the picture lol) I've been taking Biotin though and I'm hoping it grows back healthier. This is my actual hair length lol
  5. Today is officially my 6 month surgiversay. I'm down 98lbs (wanted so badly to make it an even 100 but didn't quite get there lol) I'm happy with my progress thus far though I know now is the time I need to step up the exercise since I admit I haven't excersied much at all. But now that I'm down quite a bit and moving around is easier I can actually do it without feeling like I'm going to die. Surgery has changed my life honestly. I have had some emotional issues the last few months and I don't think I expected those things. Surgery is such an emotional process, more then I ever imagined. I won't lie to you pre ops, before surgery I kinda thought I would hgave surgery and all my issues would go away and my life would magically be amazing. Not quite the case. I still had my emotional baggage and even more so after surgery, but I am working on them. All in all though, I am SO happy and proud of my progress. I has changed my life for the better. Before surgery my health was going down hill very fast at only 23 years old. At my heaviest I was nearing 400lbs. I do not know my exact high weight but it was darn close to the 400 pound mark. I couldn't really walk more then a block with out feeling like I was going to passout. I was in SO much physical pain, more then I ever admited to. My knees hurt so badly (I have had several knee injuries over the years) I couldn't LIVE life anymore. I live in NYC and as you can imagine mobility is your life line and I had outgrown this city. I didn't have this surgery for vanity, though of course wearing smaller clothes and being able to shop anywhere you want is a huge plus, but I did it for health. I never, and still don't really strive to be a size 6. I want to be a size healthy. I was 379 at my recored heaviest and in a size 26/28. Today I am sitting at 281 and am in a size 18/20. I am still big by most peoples standards but where I am now is day and night. I have never been less then 270 in my adult life and that is only 11 pounds from now. Excited to get there. I am a work in progress and am going to keep going and see where I wind up. This was way longer then I meant it to be lol. Now for pictures- the real reason you all are here haha.
  6. Ill follow you as soon as I figure out how haha. I'm new to Instagram. If anyone wants to follow me I'm Fallenangel2904
  7. Hate to break it to him but being thin doesn't automatically mean you're attractive. Not to sound like this ****** bag, but I've seen many uh less then beautiful people looking people who were thin so that kind of blows his theory out of the water. I still believe beauty has nothing to do with waist size. If you are beautiful you are regardless of wearing a size 2 or a 22.
  8. Thank you all so much yet again!! Definitly needed this boost to my self esteem this week!
  9. I found that site a while ago and its so cool to look at! It really gives you such a good idea how weight, pants size and shape vary SO much! Its great to look at to understand how its so subjective. When people say 'I want to be a a size 6' you can see how there really is NO one size fits all 6 and how it varies so much. Such an interesting site! Thanks for bringing it here!
  10. Haha its so funny because so many people compliment me on my eye brows and I'm like if you only knew what they looked like without makeup lol. I'm a natural blonde so they are pretty much invisible. I just pluck the stray hairs and use an angled brush to fill them in with powder You all have seriously made my night! Thank you for the boost of confidence!
  11. Aw thank you all so much! Seriously grinning like a silly because you all have made my night!!
  12. So I am going to be 6 months post op in a few weeks (can't believe it lol) down almost 100lbs so far. (Highest weight was 379, down to 283. Still a ways to go but getting there) I was just looking at some old pictures of myself and doing side by side comparisons and I notice obviously my face looks A LOT thinner of course, but my facial features actually look different? My nose looks SO much smaller. I have always disliked my nose, thought it was too wide for my face, but looking at recent pictures to me it looks almost like I got a nose job or something? I honestly LOVE my 'new' nose haha I also feel the shape of my face has changed, I think its more heart shaped then the original 'round' I always assumed it was lol. Has anyone else notices this or something similiar with their face losing weight? Heres a few pictures to show what I mean
  13. Some face pics.... First pic was a few months before surgery at 370 (down from 379 my highest) Second pic was a few days ago at 283
  14. Just checking in here since its been 5 months. I stalled a bit the last month, wasn't doing as great as I could have but still very happy with my progress this far. Down 90lbs officially! Highest weight was 379 Date of surgery 359 Today 289
  15. Yes! I have huge wide feet. I was wearing a size 13 W pre op. That was actually what made me realize how big I has gotten because at one point my 13s were too small and my foot wasn't fitting in them (I had gained like 40 pounds) well today pretty much all my 13s are huge on me! My foot has slimed a lot. 12s and even some 11's fit me! Would never have happened a year ago! I'm down 90 pounds so far, 5 months post op and some more to go still, so its possible my foot will be even smaller! So yea your feet definitely shrinks!
  16. Ill be honest, nausea was one of the worst parts post op for me. That morphine kicked my ass lol. I was nauseous for the first 2 days after surgery, was especially bad the first day but surprisingly I didn't puke. I haven't puked once post op (5 months post op) and I've tested my limits a few times lol and still no puking thankfully. So not everyone has this problem. I read so many people when I was pre op saying how they threw up regularly and that scared the crap out of me but luckily I've had no such problems.
  17. I like the chocolate vanilla and cherry ones. I haven't really loved any of the other flavors honestly. I bought the sample pack pre op (5 mont post op now) and i still have a few sample packs left to try but was scared because i hated some of them lol. I hated the Crystal Sky and the Apple Extacy. The apple tasted like chewed up apple stems to me. Not good. The fuzzy navel was just okay. I really wanted to love the fruit flavors but just don't
  18. This happened to me also. I had numbness in one of my thighs after surgery which was definitely due to all the laying on my back. My tail bone area hurt SO much. Its been 5 months and I still don't have feeling back in that spot unfortunately. Hoping it returns eventually!
  19. Fallenangel2904. Please add me all!
  20. Not all but most people lose some. I mostly lose when I'm in the shower or when brushing, but it's not like most people can notice I'm losing. I have some thin spots more then others but hide them with how I part my hair. You won't go totally bald lol
  21. I'm 4 months out and the hair loss for me has started. My hair was already in bad condition thanks to too much bleaching over the past few years so it already has a ton on split ends. I just chopped it all off yesterday. It's like right above my shoulders, just got tired of all the shedding and split ends so I said screw or! Sure hope it comes back and hopefully it will come back healthier. Thinking of getting some extentions. I second donating your hair to locks for love. My hair was in no condition to be donated lol. If you want to get a wig later on may be something to look in to but making it from your own hair would be a big hassle.
  22. I'm down about 90lbs and my boobs have always been small. For someone 380lbs my boobs were tiny lol. I was a 46 C though I wore D bras but my actual cup since was a C. Now I definitely notice volume loss in the actual breast and its more skin then full tissue. Part of my boob feels almost like tissue paper skin. It's weird, especially when pushed up in a push up bra it feels all strange I can't explain it lol. I'm in some of the same bras but only because I was smushed into them before. My best fitting bra is a 42 C, though my cup is definitely more on the B side. I'm pretty sure if I ever get to goal ill be and A cup lol
  23. You look amazing! We have the same exact starting weight haha so it's great to see someone with my stats (though i would kill for your hips lol seriously you have a great shape! Hope that didn't come off strange lol) I'm down 89 so far (at 290 now) your doing awesome and look great!
