  1. I stayed 3 nights and was discharged by 10 am. I have been home two days. today has been much much better.
  2. Was sleeved in August 13. I am finding it super hard to get my fluids in, and also when I drink I get these chest pains. My stomach is rumbling CONSTANTLY!! It feel like there is a cell phone in my stomach constantly ringing. Anyone else had issues with this?
  3. Things went great! Third day in hospital, my abdomen isn't that bad its these terrible gas pains! Got my gauze off this morning, I have five incisions. Hoping to go home tomorrow.
  4. I am getting sleeved Monday at 530! It is so surreal, and I am getting a little scared. I am in a Pre op diet...liquids, yogurt, cottage cheese, Popsicles and stuff. But I will admit I have not been faithful to it . In my manual it says if you dont follow it take two bottles of mag citrate. And it says if you do follow it take one? I am def sticking to it tomorrow the day before surgery, and I will probably stay on the toilet all day O.o. I am hoping I won't have a lot of pain or stay knocked out the whole time. I guess I haven't really prepared myself for this moment. I have prepared for the post op diet and I know what I have to do, I have prepared for the emotional toll I will have when my body is changing, but I haven't really prepared for this one moment. I have never has surgery, so I don't know what to expect. :S
  5. Welp....tomorrow is the first day of my journey! Pre op diet starts and I won't get "real food" (chicken breast-whole) till the end of September. So to***ht I am going out and having a nice last supper with my boyfriend. I am not going to over do it but I will indulge in some cake

  8. Thanks so much guys! You have really helped me out I am feeling a lot better now. I told my sister today...big leap...eeeek....at first she said she was mad that I didn't tell her sooner but she understands why I am doing it. It feels like a burden has been lifted off me...hopefully she will keep it quiet
  9. You are right We all are WORTH it!
  10. I know I shouldn't think like this....but I am sort of ashamed to get surgery....I haven't even told my sister because I don't want anyone to know (she can't keep a secret). Also I keep thinking maybe I could diet one more time...I might stick to it this time. Then I think no I do need this...I'm at a tug of war feeling so down about my self....that I am sinking to a low of surgery? Just throwing my thoughts out there...
  11. Hello all! My surgery is scheduled for August 13th! And I know everyone is different but how much weight did y'all lose 1 month 2 month 3 months post op?
  12. Thanks for all your stories I have decided to keep it a secret. When asked I will simply say portion control, exercising, and eating healthy. Which is not a lie. What I do to my body is my business. I mean it's my stomach....not a boob job lol can't lie about that one. No one can look at me and say see look! Her stomach is smaller! I am a private person, and keep things to myself and even though I don't care what people think about me, I kinda do when it comes to my body image. Hooray for all of you who have decided to tell and hooray for all of you that aren't
  13. Hey guys! I'm Tasha 23 5'8 260 pounds. I am in nursing school and am getting this done on my two week break! EEEEEEEK! I have two furbabies no real children My new life is scheduled to start August 13 2012!!!!
  14. Ok so! I am hoping the no one finds out about my VSG. I have told my boyfriend...."mother-in-law"....mom dad and brother. I have s sister but she tends to reveal information when told not to. I want her to know but I fear she will tell others. I am hoping this site will be my safe haven where I can be me and talk about VSG where I can't talk to others. I don't want my sleeve to define who I am. I want people to say she looks great! How did you do it? Oh WLS huh anyone could do that... Has anyone else been in my situation?
  15. Right between Nashville and Knoxville. Thanks

  18. All of your replies really out things into perspective! I never thought about ulcers and stomach cancer, it sounds like everyone is doing great!
