  1. There is still studies on the sleeve, I just want to share with all of the new sleevers and those who are about to be sleeve.

I am a slow loser, I have not lost any weight in over 6 months, the weight loss stopped at 6 months, I don’t think anyone stalled for this long. Right now the gastric sleeve is still under the scope and mimicking the bypass. I am writing this to let you know this is not at all easy at least it wasn’t for ME. I am going to share a few pointers that I have learned on this post op journey. Now I am not saying this is you, but there just might be someone that is going through the slow loss as well and don’t understand why.

    1. The sleeve is a tool, you still have to work hard to get to goal

    2. Take my advice, don’t rush to eat solid food, stay on liquid, and soft for as long as you can.

    3. Stay away from coffee, I didn’t realize the importance until I did a detox and tried to drink coffee afterwards, the pain, that tells me what it is doing to my tummy.

    4. Did I mention don’t rush to eat whole food. Lol stay in that frame of mind, eating lightly

    5. Don’t let the fullness fool you, meaning you can really pack on calories even with the new tummy.

    6. Once you are post op from day one stay away from sweets, all sweets, I thought dark chocolate was ok, NOT OK.

    7. Did I mention don’t get comfortable with the sleeve

    8. Don’t compare yourself to others, you are designed the way you are.

    9. Eat high dense foods, full longer. I was eating light Snacks, eating the wrong foods

***NOTE*** I AM NOT GIVING ADVICE, JUST TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT YOU ARE DOING.

I recently did a 5 day detox and the scale is moving again, sometimes you have to cleanse to get rid of toxins so the scale can move. So far so good. I will let you know

  2. hi i have bad knees also and can only do the bike. and i do the recumbant bike and my knees still hurt, but after about 10 mins they stop but there is no pressure applied to your knees on that bike. hope that helps

  3. i hate me right now

i stopped losing at 6 months and have tried everything under the sun to lose. and nothing. i gave up at one tiime and we all knows what happens then old habits and old thoughts. i did the whole workout eating right to gain 8lbs and that 8lbs wont leave me. and no its not muscle, clothes are tighter. im so frustrated right now. i havent even been to my appt. for what for the dr to rag on me about how i didnt lose enough.

starting to day i am on a 6 day cleanse and see what happens. i stopped working out for months due to issues. i started back last night after work 30 min on the bike.

i am the original poster and i have not posted in a while. i feel like i am the only one that failed at this.

i apologize for being so negative buts thats how i am feeling right now

  4. I was recovering from my surgery. i only lost 53lbs for the year. a little disappointed but oh well thats life. hopefully the wieght will start moving again its been 6 months and i balance the same 6-8lbs. the good news is i kept it off all this time, never done before. well lets see what the next 6 months look like.

  5. mimismom. you are not alone. it will be a year for me in sept i have lost 53lbs. it bothers me because when i got the sleeve i felt it was just the tool i needed, now i wish i hadnt gotten it. i also eat good foods and yes i might slip on something but nothing like before the sleeve. i never get over 1700 cals some days lower some days higher. i get all my Protein, Water in, it seems after 6 months it just stopped no matter what i did. i started working out hoping that will kick it in gear and ended up gaining 8lbs and no it wasnt muscle weight at all. my clothes were tighter also. i just lost 5 lbs of it but my scale goes from 217 to 225 for the last 6 months, so i completely understand.

lipstick youa re to funny girl. i like what your saying is at the bottom of your page. i need to find my motivation because right now i dont have any

  6. jeepers, girl i feel your pain. my problem at work is the Cookies, i work for a hotel and the airlines bring Cookies almost every day, i bring all of my food and Snacks but i will eat at least two cookies and if im stressed i will eat more. thats where my sugar comes in. i also cant buy the 100 cal Snacks i will eat them all if they are in my house. i was losing really good and when i hit the 6 month mark it stopped and slowed. i think its mental because my dr told me the average lose 60lbs in 6 months and at that time i only lost 53lbs. but look at my before and after pics. but she made me feel like a loser, and coming back on here seeing other who lost that and more in 6 months, sent me into depression and the i dont give a you know what attitude.

I started working out. 6 days a week 45 mins a day kickboxing and i gained 8 lbs and lost no inches, clothes where tighter.

i am at the point of not knowing what to do. i eat right for the most part. i eat around 1200 cals a day and if i mess up it will go up to 1700, it takes 3500cals to gain a lb. man i just dont know. but i have noticed the scale going back down this week. i lost 5 lbs of the 8 lbs i gained. i eat like every 2 hrs or less, if i am hungry like hunger pains i eat small meals. THIS SUCKS. i didnt get the surgery to worry about dieting, i got it so i can stop dieting.
