If it is they will schedule an appointment to fix it they just open up your port Incision sew it back in place and stitch ya up.. I was awake for both mine. Yes painful and smells awful because of the cotter gun but a week later youll be good to go.. Also mine is currently flipped but ive had two fills and unfills.a good surgeon can minipulate it and still acesess it even backwards

No you are not crazy you are making a good healthy choice for youself I to tried every diet every pill wirh exercise and lost nothing! This is not a lazy way out the band does not magically make you lose hundreds of points its a tool, aid, step in the right direction for healthy weight loss. Stay positive we are here for support weve been where you currently are!

First time I bent over a metal sink at work and I leaned all my weight into it and it popped loose from the sutures.. They have to open you up at the port site incision flip it over and sew it back in. I was awake for both of my revisions it is painful and smells awful but after a week or so everything is back to normal and your right back on track.

overland park kansas is my doctor lol I just left from there had to have my band totally emptied its extremley inflammed on a 4 day liquid diet but I can finally get somethin down yay!

Hey I just moved to bolivar mo its about 30 minutes from springfield my band is to tight and I went to see my doc last week in kc but im still to tight and I dont have another 300 bucks to go back there Anybody from this area ever went to the er for your band? I dont want to go in there and they all look at me like im an idiot but im seriously in pain cant eat or drink

Hey ladies I spoke to the doc about this... Its the rapid weightloss its almost like your body is goin threw a small shock its trying to adjust to the new you.. It took my body two years to adjust

People are ignorant the worst part is it takes twenty compliments to dull the pain of one crude remark.. My husband said something so beautiful to me I cried this was right after we met and were just friends and I was explaining my lapband to him so he didnt look at me weird when we went out to eat and he said why do you have that? Im like because im fat and he said whos fat? Im like me I weigh almost three hundred pounds! He said so what you are such a beautiful women I dont even see your weight .. For someone to see me for me was the best day of my life... But u know what always sticks out in my head my step grandma looked at me and said youd be so beaitiful if you werent fat what a waiste of a face..... Im like wow dont sugar coat it... I just ignore ppl now who are ignorant they do not kbow my life or my story I know im healthy now and I know im loved and valued I dont need them

Girl right there with you I started at 420 ive lost 150 pounds thats a person!! But when I look in the mirror I still see the same fat me ive dropped ten pant sizes, 4 shirt sizes hell I even wear smaller shoes now but I still hate looking at myself I am not comfident at all and my husband tells me everyday im beautiful and loves my body but im ashamed of it im 24 amd the weight ive lost is mainly in my stomach and boobs and they look awful and saggy and I wanna look like everyone around me. but ya know what ive come to relize quite recently im ALIVE and its because of my band without it id probably have already had a heart attack and if saggy boobs and tummy is what I gotta deal with to be able to enjoy a healthy sex life and being able to run up a flight of stairs and not be outta breath and tie my own shoes then so be it im on the right path and my husband thinks im fabulous so I must b we all have down days just remember you did this for the right reasons dont lose site of how much healthier you are now!

I actually asked my doc about this what yoir goimg threw is totally normal everytime you lose or gain more then 5 pounds you send your body into a small panic..your body is trying to reset its self so until its understanding of whats goin on you will continue to have a weird cycle eventually it will figire it out

Y thank you but believe me my skinny face is deceiving lol I still have 85 pounds to lose... Ive lost 150 so far with plenty of ups and downs but always worth it

I hear ya my husband loves call of duty and madden..,boys what can ya.do? Lol.. So any ideas on a date for your surgery?

What I miss more then anything is being able to chug a drink.. Just down a powerade or soda... Really brings me dowm

Definatley call your doc any kind of throwin up at that point is dangerous your healing and stitches dont need all that pull... If anything maybe they can give you a shot or patch for nasuea and do an xray to make sure nothin slipped.. Even if its nothin better safe then sorry

It wasnt terrible because I love soup lol but when people around me where eating good stuff I had to leave the room... I will say this the liquid diet helped me alot one because I lost sixteen pounds in those two weeks and helped shrink my liver like the doc wanted and prepared me for the following month because post op like it or not you will be on all liquids

Im going in tommorrow for another unfill I want to lose more weight so bad but not like this im weak miserable and on the verge of dehydration.. Ive literally got nothing down in three days ive lost 57 pounds in the last three months and I feel awful I cant do anymore reflux its killin me.. Last week when i went in for my first unfill tje saline actually pushed itsself out thats how tight my band was.. For no reason! I havent had a fill since september... Crazy stuff this has truly been a terrible year I lost two babies and my job and our house and I know ive made bad eating choices and drinking choices and its great to be on the losing track but I need it to be in a healthy manner

One small warning just from mine and my step moms personal experience so that incase it happens to you you dont freak out when I woke up I had this killer heavy feeling in my chest like someone was sitting on my lungs I jumped up and freaked out I thought they had cut me open all the way instead of laproscopically because it was so intense.. But it was just the feeling of the gas escaping so no worries not tryin to scare you just wish someone would have told me that so I wouldnt have scared myself! Consider youself lucky I was on a 14 day liquid diet before my surgery

I lost 36 pounds in my first 16 days.. But everyone loses diffrently and I was 420 when I started.. My step mom lost 12 in her first two weeks and my dad lost almost fifty in his first month but he weighed almost 500 pounds before his band

September 06.. I get shoulder chest n back pain anytime im stuck

Ok to start hello fellow banders my names kristin im 24 and ivr had my band since i was 19.. This has tfuly been a terrible scary awful yet amazing journey.. I weighed 420 when i got my band i got down to 276 so i lost almost 150 pounds which i wish i could say yay im so proud of myself but no see my port flipped and i couldnt get any fills so by the time i could afford to fix it i was back up to 340 finally got it revised AWAKE! Terrible but got a fill and on the right track i went with diet and exercise guess what year later flipped again gained the same weight back same story fixed it started losin switched doctors flipped again luckly this time it had flipped itsself back but not not before i got back up to 340 this was in march of this year suddenly witj no fill since september im hecka tight cant eat or drink lucky to get one small meal in a week every other day a little water goes down.. I am now at 285 which is great but all for the wrobg reasons i go for a barrium swallow last wednesday says im to tight takes some out now i can drink water more frequently but NOTHING else! Anything with food color gathers in my band and i puke it up in a slimy ball no food except some ocassional soup if im lucky and killer heartburn n acid reflux.. Is anyone else going threw this? Please tell me your doctor has givin you some incite truly fed up and ready to havr it removed ive struggled a.d suffered to long to still be this over weight.
