  1. I have myfitnesspal. I do love it. It really helps. And ur right, obviously if I'm loosing the weight then what I'm doing and the level I'm currently at is correct. Thanks for your help. Btw: I haven't had headaches, but try increasing your fluids. Headaches can be a sign of dehydration. There are different levels of dehydration, and it's not just thirst. It's different for everyone.
  2. Hello friends!! I don't want to be a Debbie downer, but stick to your liquids for now!! Trust me I know it's a pain but it will get easier. Have broth it's the best. I still love it being 2amd a half months out. Liquids are the bessstttt option right now. You do not want to go to fast into eating something you shouldn't and get sick. Trust me it's no fun.
  3. Sorry sent it too soon. Stupid phone! Lol ok so my story is... I am about 2 and a half months out of surgery. Lost about 45 pounds and I feel awesome!!! But I seem to be going through a mental phase right now. I seem to be CONSTANTLY second guessing myself in terms of what I eat. I am pretty much back to a normal diet. I avoid fried foods and sodas and they don't really feel great in my belly so if doesn't bother me that I dont eat them lol. However, lately I seem to always tell myself I'm eating too much. When in reality I know I'm not. I sometimes think I actually eat too little, but my subconscious thinks I overeat. Does anyone else have this feeling. I guess it just takes time to have your head adjust. Also one more question. Lately I feel like I a little bit hungry. Im taking an acid reducer so that's not it, and it's not huge hunger pains, but I do feel it and my tummy grumbles a little. Usually I drink something and it goes right away. Thoughts?
  4. Called my md and the on call said its probably an ulcer. Damn painful ulcer!! Lol. They got me on carafate, a nasty drink for the ulcer. Let's hope it heals quick!! Thanks for all of your help guys!!
  5. The funny thing is that they thought I had a hiatal hernia but turns out I didn't lol. I'm thinking of calling in a little bit. Thank for your help!
  6. Not trouble breathing but it's hurts a little when I breath in deep. I've caught myself a few times hollering because it hurts so much. And I hate complaining! Lol. I've actually had a pretty good recovery so it's making me nervous
  7. Thank you for responding btw. It hurts both when I drink and when not so I haven't been able to trigger it to one or the other. It stinks because I haven't been able to eat or had enough to drink today because of it
  8. A month from yesterday. There's no incision near by its all internal. It's drivin me crazy and it hasn't really let up all day
  9. It started this morning. It feels like a stabbing pain right around my diaphragm. It's hurts really badly for a few seconds, then subsides then returns and does it again. It's doesn't burn but feels like a stabbing pain. Ouch help please! Anyone have the same issue?
  10. Not all of them, but my biggest one right above my belly button. It's a little red around the edges but I can tell its not infected. DISCLAMER*** I have had stuff oozing out of it for about a week but a friend of mine who is an NP said its called a seroma and it should be fine. What's worse of all is the irritation a have from the bandages!! Omg so red and irritated I almost can't have my much looser shirts (lol) rub up against them. I have read stuff about people having pain for a few weeks but a month!? I don't need my pain meds, it's not that bad but it still hurts. Help!!
  11. Just wanted to meet some new people on the twenties section of this forum. Everyone is so supportive. I don't really know how to become buddies on this site so someone buddy me and we can chat! Id love to hear what life is like for people my age lol Thanks
  12. Think about it. Would these surgeries have EVER been approved if we could stretch out our stomachs by drinking a little too much, or over eating by accident or drinking a little bit of soda. No, of course not. And especially now, so soon out of surgery you can't possibly take in that much. I'm only a month out myself but I'll tell you, that it does get easier. I'll tell you, this was truly the LONGEST month of my lliiffeeeeeee! It's does get easier. Don't be afraid or liquids right now. They are the only things you can have, so be friends with them!! They will be your life saver, literally. Hang in there.
  13. I'll be a month out of surgery on Tuesday. And I was wondering is it possible to drink a little alcohol? I turned 21 about 6 months ago, and HONESTLY, I'm not a big drinker to begin with, truly. I would just like to sip on a frozen drink throughout the night of the 4th. What do you think?
  14. I'm still tired but I haven't been outside yet! Lol. It's going to be another toasty 90+ day so I plan on staying inside as much as I can
  15. We have a heat wave going on over here in Boston and I think I got a pretty bad case of heat exhaustion yesterday. I'm just over 3 weeks out and it was a really sick feeling I had. I was SUPER tired. More tired than I had ever felt. (besides waking up post op lol). And I felt like I had no strength. I was walking back to my house with my iPad and a drink and nearly dropped them both because they were to heavy. I slept last night from about 7:00 pm to about 10:00 this morning... CRAZY!! Lol. Has this Happened to anyone?
  16. Lol. I don't really have a question or anything, but I thought it was funny that I was never really an egg person before surgery and now, almost 3 weeks out, I'm eating a scrambled egg and I LOVE IT!!!
  17. Just to let you know, weight gain is caused by PCOS. Not the other way around.
  18. How long does the stall typically last?
  19. I'm only 2 weeks out, but from what I read about others stories, when time passes are we suppost to eat more calories to loose more weight and avoid the stall? Lol I'm confused
  20. Right below my biggest incision site I am completely numb. It's not gettin better, in fact I think it might be getting worse. I am 2 weeks post op. Has anyone else has this??
  21. Wow this is great to know. I swear I learn more from you guys than I do my md and nut! Lol
  22. You guys are the best. It's awesome that question get answered soooo quickly on this site! I am taking an acid reducer so that isn't helping. And it's true that it was broth that I drank so that's good. I need to measure more often. Thanks again!
  23. Hey everyone, So I'm just about 2 weeks post op and I have a have a bit of a problem. I was having a meal. Chicken broth lol. And not even realizing it, I found myself having about 8oz in a half hour period. I was full by the time I realized what I was doing, but not stuffed or nauseous. Why!?!? I thought we can only fit about 2 oz at a time. Another problem with me is that I always feel hungry. I seem to control myself well when it comes to hunger. I'll go for water or whatever, but my stomach hurts like I'm hungry. My md told me it was head hunger so how do I beat the head hunger? Help would be greatly appreciated!
  24. Thanks! I'll tell you though, from writing the first response last night to writing this one today, I feel SOOO much better! You can do this!
