had same issue .. was unable to hold down even water.. in my case i got dehydrated and ended up in the ER.. to be on the safe side i would get checked right away.. and i agree on the Protein main goal right after surgery is staying hydrated drinking Water taking in fluids ... so def call your doctor.. I'm 4 weeks out and eventually it will stay down.. baby steps baby steps.. good luck

no, please no.. smoking is not good for you period with or without sleeve.. its just bad doesn't help in anyway.. if you need a release turn to something else.. i found it very helpful to go out with good friends catch a movie a show ... just keep busy distract yourself with other things don't turn to smoking.. some ideas.. photo albums scrapbooking photography arts n krafts just anything you enjoy.. good luck..

when will i be able to eat regular food? supposedly I should be on regular foods in september but at the rate I'm going i seriously doubt it.. i can barely hold 4-6oz of food ... and i get seriously full bloated with neck and back pain.. from the fullness i feel.. will i actually be able to just eat normally ever again?

dont cry.. i had to wait for insurance approval for 5 months even though i already met all the requirements.. so look into that as well.. ask your insurance if after your weigh ins do you have any other waiting period. but look at it this way in these 6 months you can start preparing .. and maybe by the time your surgery is here you will have even less to loose.. time really will go by fast keep busy and continue your research and visit us here often for info support and updates.

you have to be 100 committed and determined. its life changing you will never be the same again.. you will never eat the same again and its a long recovery process i am pre op 2days home from hospital and in so much discomfort.. the thought of not being able to just grab a handful of blueberries that i love whenever i want made me cry life won't be normal as far as food for at least 6-8 weeks and even after that you won't be able to eat freely.. but if your getting sleeved for medical purposes to make yourself healthier its then worth if you have truly already tried everything with no success.. then go for it thankfully my insurance covered my surgery.. hope this helps..

[my insurance should cover hernia .. the hiatal hernia was discovered on the operating table and repaired i think you should just go ahead with sleeve and have the hernia repaired and work out the insurance later i don't see why they shouldn't cover if your doctor finds in medically necessary .. have your doctor write a letter to insurance... hope that helps...]
