no the original surgeon is no longer in my network and i would not return to them anyway ive seen 3 other doctors. and finally found one that is helpful and willing to explain things properly
number 4 is a narrowing of the passage ways at the bottom of my sleeve "medical term of passage is duodenum and anti?"
-
so after many appointments testing and 3 doctors I finally found my 4th Doctor that gave me the right answers for over 1 year I've had issues with abdominal pain spasms uncomfortable all the time diarrhea which is probably a separate issue and pain with food especially liquids so these are the findings from a correct and accurate upper gi.
1. Concentric narrowing of the mid body of the stomach presumably secondary to the prior gastric sleeve procedure.
2. Demonstration of a small diverticulum of the gastric fundus.
3. Presence of a mild sliding hiatal hernia.
4. Presence of deep residual penetration without aspiration.
his solution and suggestion is a bypass which should fix my discomfort n pain but probably not the "runs" he said there is no way to redo or fix my sleeve because its to risky and can cause more problems and it was probably done very sloppy
although my stomach functions in time the sleve might become more distorted then it is now
im very hesitant to do bypass it wasn't my choice to begin with i need to do more research on it anyone has info on sleeve to bypass please share
so now my question is what unforseen problems will await me with this bypass 2-3 years down the road ? bypass vets please help
-
the sleve is new statement was made by my bariatric doctor he actually said they dont have enough data such as 10-20 yrs worth of information on sleve patients
so after many appointments and testing doctor said i have IBS in addition to hernia, top of sleve has a pocket where food is depositong and bottom of sleeve has a kink
his solution is a bypass it should fix my discomfort n pain but probably not the "runs" he said there is no way to redo or fix a sleeve because its to risky and can cause more problems

im happy with my current size and wieght the bypass would cause more wieght loss geez what a mess apparently the experts say my issues are rare and not common but based on my research thus far many people have similar problems so where is the rareity hmmm
so now my question is what unforseen problems will await me with this bypass 2-3 years down the road ? bypass vets please help

Here is my two month post plastics update. I feel Great!! I have had a full recovery' date=' nothing that is hurting or bothering me. The only thing is I have come down with a sinus infection and a cold.... So coughing does pull on my stomach muscles. It doesn't "hurt" per say but it is not comfortable either. My swelling is minimal but do have days that are a bit more. On those days I just put my garment back on and it seems to help with it. I also will sleep with it on at night especially if I have done alot of activities that day. I have lost about 10lbs since surgery ( though this is sd not to be the norm... But I have also been having issues with blood sugars and eating scares me..... Never in my life had I thought I would say that...:/)My scars are slightly fading but that takes a long time... I have not had any issues with seromas or my scars becoming raised. So over all I am super happy with the results. I did have a couple of internal stitches pop out of the skin (the ends of the knots) but they disappeared within a week or so. My family dr sd that it was normal. I am still numb along my incisions but am starting to get some feeling back.
The only thing I did not think about was the psychological aspect. Even though I have done alot of self work... And thought I would be happy with the results... But I have taken the focus off the areas that I thought were the problem and now focus on other areas I did not notice before. ( like the bulges of back fat... And my arms:/ ) so I recommend that everyone is sure to do the mind work before plastics. I can see why so many people have so many procedures done.

I am sorry I did not reply sooner.I bought the GELZONE Wrap at www.gelzone.com
It is 6X48 inch streach support and is perfect for Tummy Tucks or Lower Body Lifts. I started wearing mine GELZONE Wrap 10 days after my LBL. (I was allergic to the surgical tape)
It provides compression and silicone at the same time. I paid 75.00.
I tried the small strips' date=' but they did not work for me. With the GELZONE, I was even able to cut it and make it work for my breast lift scars too. I hand wash. Had my LBL 14 weeks ago, and still wear it 24/7. It is very very comfortable.[/quote']
thank you so much

Very interested to see if this product works well. Not happy with mederma.
just started using but so far not that impressed but its only been a few days .. mederma really is not worth the $$ it does nothing at all for our needs... but yes i will keep you posted...

I used Retouch silicone sheets. They were comfortable and I was very pleased with the results.
glad to hear .. can i ask where you purchased ? are they availalbe online only or at any store? thanks
-
I use GELZONE. It also works as compression for my lower abdomen and hips to flatten out my scar from my LBL. I can wrap it all the way around and pull it tight and fasten it with the Velcro tabs. My scar I flat and blending in nicely with my skin tone. I highly recommend this product.
thank you so much.. glad to hear your results.. so far not impressed with
Scar Fx Silicone Scar Sheet from makemeheal.com... can i asked where to buy the gelzone and approximately how much $$

Well my brother will be having ps done but probably not until next year. He is down 250lbs and is still working at losing a bit more. I will be sure to post for him (he also was sleeved... But his heaviest was 579lbs.... So has a longer journey than most. Even at that weight he was still mobile' date=' active and working... Weight loss has just made him more so:)[/quote']
wow amazing accomplishment yes def will need to consider ps excess skin etc good luck

Marie I see you are at lower BMI. Me too. I wonder if sleeve will help me loose 40 pounds I have been struggling with last 5 yearsyes it will ! especially since you have tried so long but def a big commitment change of eating habits forever but you WILL conquer those 40 pds or more and if you research a really good doctor and program you should be fine good luck

Thank you all for posting. Now I wish some men would post if they had these surgeries down would be really helpful' date=' in making my decision on what to do next. It would be a year in November and have lost a total of 150 lbs since I started this journey. Thank you ladies again and sending positive thoughts your way.[/quote']

I did go alone, and my own fears were unfounded. Lol. There are other people having surgeries within the time you are there. It is easy to spot in the mornings going down for breakfast.... The ones that are slow, stiff, bandaged or carrying drains. Lol. Everyone is so friendly. So connecting is so nice. I would have no fears of going alone again. You are safe and well taken care of. Monterrey is not the stereotypical part of Mexico you often think of. The area you are in is clean, upper class type area. Large houses, large hotels (bigger than my little town and cleaner. Lol), new cars, streets are clean. ... I have been to a few different places in Mexico over the past few years and I def felt the most at ease, safe and really surprised at how modern the area was.
I had connected with the dr via email.
The dr is Dr. Sauceda in Monterrey Mexico you can google him as I don't have the info on me right now. (I believe it's the Medical Tourism site he uses) I researched him for a good 8 months and was very happy with his reviews, the amazing work he does and of course now my results. His wife is the anesthesiologist and is very sweet. Dr S responds to all the emails and so you are getting his professional opinion right away. No middle man makes it way easier and faster to communicate directly with him.
wish i would have done it your way in mexico sounds like you had more of a spa like experience and wonder what my $8 grand on just a TT would have gotten me .. glad you had a great experience if i ever decide to get anything else done def will go mex.. lol
