Alot Of Medicine
Before surgery, the anesthesia personnel will ask you about all the medications you're taking, and all chronic illnesses you have. Please believe that you will not be the sickest patient they've ever taken care of. The sickest patients aren't even candidates for surgery, so just try to relax.

Eyelid Surgery?
Never gotten it, but it is a common, same day surgery. Insurance usually only pays for it when your visual field is affected by the drooping, otherwise it's considered cosmetic. The procedure is called a ptosis repair. The "P" is silent. Good Luck!

Although, there is no dumping of a mechanical nature, the sugar alcohols used in some sugar free candies causes dumping due to the chemical nature of the ingredients. Sorry to hear about the denial, but it if you meet the BMI requirement, or have co-morbidities, you'll get approved. These are just bumps in the road. If you have a copy of your letter from your PCP, see if it has these 2 things specifically that have gotten people denied: 1. Medical necessity: The operation is medically necessary to improve your co-morbidities (list co-morbidities) 2. Medical clearance: You have to go in for an appointment with your PCP for the clearance letter. It must read that you were examined on that day and you were found to be cleared from a medical standpoint for surgery. They wanted an actual progress note from my PCP's office showing that I went in to be examined, and didn't just pick the letter up. I know it's unfair to have to play by their rules, but just keep your spirits up, and you'll get the approval and the surgery. Good Luck!- Update On My Pain...
Just read your update...good to hear that they've found the problem. You'll soon be on the mend.- Update On My Pain...
- 30Cc Of Protein Drink....then Pain
- 30Cc Of Protein Drink....then Pain
Yes, I try to get my protein in everyday and I'm still struggling to get through an entire day without pain. I drank 15cc of Nectar Fuzzy Navel, and it went down fine. I followed it up with another 15cc about 10min later, and I've been in abdominal pain since. This was about 2hours ago. I'm afraid to drink anything now. I haven't gotten any more than maybe 20oz of protein on any given day before pain or stomach upset starts. I'm 7 days out today, I should be able to get this stuff down by now, well according to my NUT, I should. Anybody else having problems? What am I doing wrong?- When Did You Decide To Weigh?

This is the reason I told my current boyfriend on our first date that I don't cook (the reason I needed WLS) and I don't clean. I'll work OT every week to pay someone to do it. His response was, "Make that money, honey." :-) - Hard Candy?
