My surgery is May 8th no liquid diet for me. Just my own diet of choice. Have to do clear liquids the day before but that's it. So excited!!!!

I didn't have the 2 week liquid diet I had to lose 10% of my weight however I could. So I have 3 balance bars a day with a sensible meal and lots of water. I had the lap and in 2009 and they made me do medifast for 4 weeks with no solid food at all it was torture and I am so glad I didn't have to do it for the revision to the sleeve. My surgery is this coming Thursday May 8th, I couldn't be happier that I chose to have the band removed.

julia did you self pay? if so how much is it to self pay. it looks like that is theroute i will have to go if I want a revision done. Tesha

I had lap band in 2008 and I am miserable about how it hasnt done what I thought it should do. I want to go and have the sleeve done. I had a MVP insurance then now I have Humana. What does it take for an insurance company to approve the revision?? Also for a revision to they make you go through all the hoops they did the first time I had WLS or do they just approve the surgery and you dont have to lose a certain amount of weight before hand? Any help with this is appreciated.

What is the cost of the revision in the states????

if you dont mind me asking how much was it for you to self pay? I have a feeling that the insurance is going to give me a hard time so I need another option to get it done. Did you get a loan???? Tesha
