Sleeve
Did they biopsy the lump? Do you know what it is? I don't understand why this would totally eliminate the sleeve as an option. I would think a second opinion would be in your best interest.

Here's My Story....
I personally think that a sleeve revision would be your best bet. I also think with a little creativity you could keep from losing much weight even through the healing process. There are very high calorie shakes on the market that were designed for people tha have a problem gaining. Boost VHC is an 8 oz shake tha has 540 calories. You could incorporate these into your full liquid phase to seize further weight loss I only hope for your sake that you don't have signifigant scar tissue from the band, most band revisions I hear of require a healing period between removal & revision. There are the fortunate few that can be revised in one surgery, but they seem to be the minority.

Common Practice?
I'm still having a really hard time with this. Please look closely at he wording on the policy you signed. I'm really thinking that the no refund only applies to the 675 which they could justify in administrative costs. I simply can't get my head around how they could keep a 20% deductible for a procedure they don't perform. I really can't see how that could even be legal.

How The Hell Do You Drink Isopure?
If you're not able to get all your liquids, then don't worry about protein yet. Focus on Water, keep hydrated. The protein will come as the swelling reduces.

I think you missed the part where he said that it works for many people. The problem is not necessarily in the "everything in moderation" mindset, but in what an individuals perception of what moderation is. For someone that could eat 1/2 of a cheesecake a slice is moderation. But is a slice 3 or 4 times a week still moderation? A soda drinker that drinks a 12 pack a day who reduces it to 4 sodas a day, is this moderation? I'm sure some would think so. I use to eat a pint of Ben & Jerry's or Haagen Däs a couple times a week. Now if I reduce that to 3-4 Haagen Däs bars a week that's still less than one pint. Is that moderation? Pasta lovers (like me) I could eat generous portions of pasta several times a week. So if I reduce that to a 1 cup portion of pasta 3 times a week, is that moderation. A person could likely get away with any one of these and be ok. But when they start to get stacked on top of each other, it becomes "Moderation in excess".- First Trip To Grocery Store 5D Post
Yup that's the manly stuff...... Cran-cherry, cran-grape, cran-peach, cran-cherry limeade I can just feel the testosterone now.- Bmi
Sorry to hear you were not approved. But I have to say, I think you've chosen a great surgeon in Dr. Ponce de Leon.- First Trip To Grocery Store 5D Post
I really like oceanspray flavor packets. They can be a bit hard to find, but if you ave a Kroger or dillons they carry them.- Mac N Cheese
It would be safe to try in the "mushy"" phase. Usually about 2-4 weeks after surgery depending on your doctor/NUT's schedule. But you will likely find that by the time it's safe, you probably won't want it.- Protein Bars
I don't worry about sugar & fat directly. Those will directly affect the carbs & calories. So those two & Protein are all I really look at aside from ingredients. As far as calories, I don't use a set number, instead I look at it as a ratio of calories to protein. My general rule is I don't want my calories any higher than 10 times the grams of protein I consume. Carbs, I try to stay around 40-50. But I'm not religious about either, just kinda guidelines.- What Do You Replace Food With When Stressed?

- Grocery List?
Thus varies from person to person. I personally have had no problems with anything, and I've been eating "real food" since about 4 weeks post-op. As a general rule most people can tolerate most anything by 3-4months. I was told before surgery that I'd be fully healed by 6 months & at my full capacity by 1year. I think those are pretty conservative numbers though.- Adding A Surgeon To The Surgery Drop-Down On Profile.

It is not bitter. unjury chicken Soup is savory. Kinda reminds me of chicken ramen Unjury chocolate splendor is a moderately rich chocolate milk flavor (I love to mix it with almond milk) Unjury strawberry sorbet is pretty sweet, not one of my preferred flavors Unjury unflavored is great to mix into stuff like yogurt, cottage cheese, and other milk based products & is pretty undetectable when used this way (I don't recommend mixing it with juices or clear drinks) nectar (Syntrax) are mostly juice based flavors so they are gonna be a tad sweet. I really like the fuzzy navel & cherry flavors. Carribean cooler gets a lot of good reviews also, but I don't like the taste of shredded coconut, which it definately resembles(kinda like a piña colada) I also liked the chocolate truffle, it's pretty sweet but good, I've heard their cappachino flavor is good, but I'm also not a coffee fan. As for comparing it to Optifast, I really couldn't say. I've never tried the optifast product. All my knowlage of them is through reviews & research.- Anyone From Missouri Heading To Mexico?
There are many reasons. Money being one, another huge one is experience, top Mexican doctors have been doing this procedure for years. They have the experience of performing thousands of these surgeries. Not to mention the care you get at the better Mexican facilities is much more attentive. I can say that I prefer going to Mexico. It was a great experience for me.- Anyone From Missouri Heading To Mexico?
