My Dr said the Sunkist liquid Protein is the best. Grape' date=' orange and fruit flavor. 25 grams of Protein in 2.9 oz tubes[/quote']Sunkist Protein Shots are predominately collagen/gelatin. They are virtually useless to the human body.
Look at the ingredient source for the protein
Here is how it measures up
& if you would like to investigate this further here is the link to the MU newsletter that I sourced that table from.

Thoughts on adding Probiotics into my life?Probiotics are really only useful if your digestive tract has for some reason lost the bacteria supply to properly digest foods. If you suspect this then 1 box of probiotics is more than sufficient. They are rarely actually needed, but they don't really hurt(except in the wallet) to take them either.

Ive tipped the driver' date=' but do i tip my coordinator? Ive only seen him twice in the two days ive been here.[/quote']If you are using Dr Kelly & booked direct through his office I probably would. I know yhe primary reason he sited for ceasing the use of outside coordinators was that he felt they were getting more than he felt they should. I'm to understand that he is once again using outside coordinators along with his in house.
If you booked with an outside coordinator, I'm sure their fee is sufficient.

There are quite a few of us that experience NO restriction with liquids. It really does make recovery nice. I assure you, once you start eating dense Proteins YOU WILL NOTICE.

Just to add to your confusion, check out this thread

Ok, really. You are talking about eating them right? Depends on how far out you are

I think I'd be asking where they came from.

Like the borderline soft core child porn in their catalogs wasn't enough...

It's still hydrolyzed Gelatin protein' date=' even if they use whey, it's likely still collagen based which is a FAR in-superior Protein blend. There is a trace amount of tryptophane, so the amino acids included are near pointless since the transport and sustaining compound isn't even included to a true BCAA ratio. The product, after being manufactured, (which is curious why the yes Protein website is no longer accessible) likely sits on a shelf for months, thus breaking down the amino acids and protein make up, you're basically drinking a shitty tasting Jello compound with half of the nutritional value it claims to have. Plus, take a look at what is used to make the Gelatin protein blend...animal intestines, bones, teeth, and skin. As a meat eater, there's no damn way in hell I'd even fathom the idea of using these as a protein source, especially at a time as critical as post op. [/quote']I swear' date=' I've repeated this on soooooo many different posts lately, tho not quite as intelligently as you did. Thank you for providing the facts on this, I feel like it should be a featured post that everyone has to read, because TOO MANY people lately have been talking about using these products and they are NO BUENO!!![/quote']
Actually these particular shots are 100% Whey Protein Isolate.
I am very glad to see that there are other people on the forum watching out for the rest of the garbage shots that are out there.
Again I'd like to stress, these (Yes Whey) are the only real Whey Protein Shots (to my knowledge) and you cannot get them in any stores, they are currently only sold online.
All other shots are complete crap!
New Whey, Super Whey, Carnivore, Sunkist, Fit 2 Go, Protein 2 Go, Profect,Beef Up, Proasis, Elite, Pure Whey = collagen/gelatin= useless garbage

I wonder if you gain weight after getting your license' date=' if you are supposed to inform them of the gain? I mean that would be the "honest" thing to do [/quote']
Yes, if you have any significant gain or loss you are legally required to update your license.

I just ate some trader joes popcorn cooked in olive oil with a hint of salt. Was this a bad idea? I work out 4 times a week and have a physical job. Im 7 weeks post op. I think I deserve a little popcorn. At 7weeks you aren't at any real risk of harming yourself. Just be careful how much you have and make sure to include the calories of the olive oil into your calculation. Oils are almost pure fat. I'd recommend going air popped or getting the 100calorie pre measured microwave bags.

3 Weeks post op today. Just wondering' date=' If I can drink 3 cups of Water in an hour amd I stretching my tummy? I seem to be able to drink Water the same way I could before surgery...[/quote']Absolutely not. Water passes through your stomach almost immediately. Many of us have never felt any restriction on liquids. I've actually drank a full liter of water in under 15minutes, and still can't get in more than 6-8oz of dense Protein

YES, you are going to die.
I'm pretty sure this will not be the cause, and hopefully it will be quite some time before that day comes.
There really isn't much you do at this point. It will pass through your system like it has in the past. You'll be fine.

Mobile deviceClick the more tab at bottom of your screen then go to profile. Then touch where your pic should be, it will open an option to post from your photo album.

Would you recommend any specific brand that tastes good? I keep looking and then deciding against bc there are so many...I tried one kind and it was weirdly salty?
That's the one I use.

its a Protein powder called Pro Complete 40. It says it has whey Protein isolate' date=' whey protein concentrate, potassium caseinate and egg albumin.[/quote']In all likelihood your reaction is from the whey concentrate & or the caseinate. These are both milk based Proteins that are not isolates, therefore they still contain lactose. Lactose sensitivity is very common in the early post op weeks/months.

Well, I hope that you don't take this wrong, but before you decide on the sleeve, I'd highly recommend some pretty heavy self analyzation. You really need to understand why it is that you turn to food for comfort. And yes, a counselor/therapist would be helpful. I am in no way calling you crazy, or even suggesting that you have problems that most of us don't deal with. Knowledge is power, and knowledge about yourself & your own habits is the greatest power to have.
Once you have a solid understanding of your triggers & your reaction to your triggers, by all means, I think being sleeved young will save you a ton of heartache & likely some health problems.
GOOD LUCK.
Too much protein and water?

Sounds great to me. Are you including the shakes into your 50oz of Water? If so, you probably want to focus a bit more on hydration. Remember, frat priority is hydration, then Protein.
You are doing great though!!
