I'd like to ask, what is his fee & which hospital does he use? Angeles Hospital maybe? -
Spicy Foods<<<I Miss U!
O.T.R. sleever replied to beautifuldiva's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Everybody is different. I'm currently enjoying some really thin refrained beans with hot long green chilies blended into them. The texture is not great, but the flavor & heat is heaven. -
I live Mexican, if you're into the full liquid stage try avocado soup, it satisfied my craving.

Only down 227?!?!? That sounds incredible to me.

Hurting....when Does It End?
O.T.R. sleever replied to Luwanna's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My coordinator too a couple of us out for tortilla soup(minus the tortillas)2 days after surgery. I kinda took my que from that. -
Couple things. The first few days after surgery you're stomach is very swollen & irritated so it will fill up faster. Secondly your body can only process between 20-27 grams in one sitting (ladies are typically closer to the 20g) so eating 50 grams in a sitting is absolutely useless. I understand this is not easy, I've cheated a bit myself, but the big sacrifice is short lived. A little momentary satisfaction will never bring you true happiness. My Self-Imposed Preop Diet.
O.T.R. sleever replied to Patrick Curl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You're still doing better than I did. I took the last week before my 2day pre-op diet and ate anything that looked or smelled good. I looked at it as a week of "last meals" -
The more time you can commit to the lower hourly rate they can offer. Also if you go to them or to a gym they frequent you can reduce their travel time, if one of your neighbors use one you can usually get a reduced rate also.

Sleeved On The 29Th
O.T.R. sleever replied to aouzenian's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well according to my post op diet it's only supposed to be clear liquids for the first 10 days an only a sip at a time. Your stomach is still swollen and irritated so, yeah I would say its probably normal. -
Trying This Again!
O.T.R. sleever replied to CraftyV's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Veronica, I'm 9 days post op, and can tell you the absolute worst part of this whole ordeal was all the doubt and worrying befor the surgery. It's really been pretty easy since the surgery, and that being said with the knowledge that not everything went perfectly. I had a couple small issues one being that I became combative coming out of anesthesia (that kinda scares me that I can be that way) and the second was that the drain either wasn't placed properly or didn't work properly. Either way a few sets of bandage changes an everything was fine. The only regret I have is that I didn't do this sooner(I know that sounds cliché). I've given up the last 10 years of my life to low self esteem and self hatred. I couldn't walk more than 100 yards without back pain. I can't really explain why but I've had no pain of any kind since my surgery. I have a new lease on life, and soon you will to. -
Non-Food Rewards?
O.T.R. sleever replied to GeauxForIt's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm thinking big & long term on this one. My reward to myself when I hit goal weight is a really nice custom tailored suit. Haven't decided on whethered it's gonna be Brooks Bros or Armani yet but it's gonna be rrediculously expensive & I'm gonna look great in it -
My Self-Imposed Preop Diet.
O.T.R. sleever replied to Patrick Curl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey Patrick, brother, you will do great. One thing to keep in mind though, your post op diet will be pretty restrictive. You won't be able to consume the nutrients & Protein your body needs for a while. I would consider adding some lean meats (like fish) to you're diet, and maybe even a high quality multi Vitamin. I love your drive and dedication....... You are an inspiration. -
hi there!!! are there really gay people here?!?!?!?
O.T.R. sleever replied to anninva's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Ha ha , I don think I've been called a breeder in at least 15 years. And unfortunately I can understand the heart breaking thing. When I was younger I use to party at the San Antonio Mining Co. in El Paso, TX just because I new I'd never have to pay for any of my own drinks. -
Hurting....when Does It End?
O.T.R. sleever replied to Luwanna's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
BTW I am originally from Murfreesboro, so you are right in my old stomping grounds. I live in Missouri now but still get down that way to visit family on a pretty regular basis. So, hi neighbor. -
Hurting....when Does It End?
O.T.R. sleever replied to Luwanna's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Seems my procedure went a bit different than yours, so the only thing I can say is I was kept in the hospital for 2 days after surgery an given pain meds the whole time I was there. Since I left the hospital I haven't had any pain at all, a bit of pressure from gas which goes away fairly quickly. Are you walking much? The more you walk the faster you're stomach will get back to proper operation , and that might just help relieve the pain you are feeling. -
Almost Done With Full Liquid...i Want Food!
O.T.R. sleever replied to twistedkitten25's topic in Rants & Raves
YES, do it!! There will be temptations, but I'm only 8 days out & have already lost 21#. Yes I would kill for a good burger right now, but I'll be able to have one in a few short months. The heavy sacrifice is short lived, the improved life is forever. -

I Need A Lil Support. Week 1 Post Op N Feelin A Lil Discouraged.
O.T.R. sleever replied to Adahlia's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Adahlia, has anybody lately told you how beautiful you are? Absolutely stunning. I do have to say I feel your pain. I would kill for a Five Guys burger about now. And the taste that seems to linger is very unpleasant. This too shall pass, the season is short, & our lives will be richer & longer for the sacrifices we make today. BTW I was sleeved on th 23rd also -

The More I Lose, The More I Fear...
O.T.R. sleever replied to Donito's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The key here is exercise. Skin will shrink (all be it slower than the weight loss) but exercise does miracles for your body, and yes, even stimulates you're skin to tighten. Success is dependent on a lifestyle change, not just a diet change. Keep positive, and keep focused. ???????? -
