    Feeling Miserable

Suzcomptime- I also am not really partial to overly sweet protein powders. One solution I've found is when mixing your protein to mix 1 scoop (packet) of flavored powder & 1 unflavored into 8 oz of water or soy milk (I've been using Unjury) then drink 1/2 & save the other 1/2. This gives you all the protein in 1/2 the quantity without the flavor overload. I'm even considering trying 2 parts unflavored to 1part flavored in 12oz then splitting into thirds.

    Looking Into The Sleeve

Actually VSG surgery has been around since 1976, it has recently become a more accepted form of WLS and has only been adopted by many insurances in the last few years. Although it is true there is limited long term data on the VSG Because most early sleeves were converted to RNY. VSG was originally used as an intermediary procedure for patients seeking RNY when it was determined that the individual was too high risk for the RNY procedure. That is why the sleeve is commonly referred to as a mini bypass. I can tell you that the most common regret from sleeves is not doing it sooner.
  6. As you can see the difference between a 32 & 36 is minimal.

    Any Seductions On Exercise Monitors.

Since I know you have a droid, I'd check the app market & get an accessory for that device (unless you are ready to upgrade to an iPhone )

Has Anyone Gotten Pregnant After Sleeve

Since I'm a guy this is all speculation, but might be food for thought. Reasons to be 2 years post op before attempting to have a child. 1. You are on a low calorie diet to reach your goal weight for typically 18months or more (not conducive to maturity) 2. As you lose weight your body releases estrogen from stored fat and hormone levels are seldom consistent. 3. Pregnancy is very demanding on a body a lot of the nutrients you consume will go directly to your child. Hence you should beat a maintance weight before trying so that you are able to properly nourish both yourself & your baby. I don't think it's because you're still healing, rather more about ideal healt for both you & your baby.

    Can't Make Up My Mind.

"I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody." Bill Cosby Is 213 too low? Only you can answer this... The question is are you happy with where you are now? If not then are you ready to change. If you are referring to insurance qualifications, ehe most common number I've seen is a BMI of at least 40, you, best I can tell are right at 39 so that's pretty borderline.
  18. OK, before surgery I really didn't do much walking, not that I do a lot now, but it is considerably more. I am in so much pain when I try to get up and walk the last couple days it's unbelievable, I completely understand "no pain no gain" but DAYUM. It doesn't feel like there's any damage, they're just really sore. Anybody got any ideas on how to reduce some of this pain?

    Terrified Of Anaesthesia!

When I went under I wasn't even aware that the gas had been turned on. They placed the mask over my nose, then lights out..... I can say I learned one thing, when I came back out I was combative (they said that's not really uncommon) fortunately the surgical team has seen pretty much every possible reaction when comming out so they were prepared. Though I know now what to advise the anestioligist of if I ever get put under again.

So...preop Diet Tanked But Lost 5 Lbs.

"Success is falling nine times and getting up ten." Jon Bon Jovi Slips are gonna happen, you had a couple of 2500cal days while on a pre-op diet that is self imposed. I seem to remember you stating a typical day would have been in the 5K calorie range.... You're 2day slip still left you 5000 calories lower than you would have been a couple weeks ago. You've done great, better than I ever would have on sheer will power. You will get back up, you will succeed, because with the willpower & strength you have, failure is not an option

    Water Flavoring, What's Your Favorite?

Is this syntax stuff a shake or is it a lighter drink? I'd really like something to take the place of Isopure. Isopure doesnt taste bad but I really could live without the dry feeling it leaves in my mouth.
