Quick math, 15hr day eating every 3hrs= 5meals X 1.5oz per meal= 7.5oz total consumed nourishment. Even if you ate every 2hrs you are only talkin about 10.75oz. There is not a food out there(that I am aware of) that is going to supply just your protien requirements in under 11oz. You are tired& fatigued because you are starving yourself. I know you don't like the idea, but I don't think you are ready to give up protien supplements yet. Also hair loss is mostly a result of protien deficiency. That alone would be enough for me to add at least 1 protien drink a day to my diet. I'm sorry to come across this rough. My real intent here is to help, & I couldn't think of a nicer way to say this and retain the impact I feel it needs.

Are you taking protien supplements? I drink a smoothie in the morning w/ hemp protien or unjury protien. It goes down pretty easy. Your liquid restriction should be minimal, I drink most of my calories & I'm really close to the same schedule as you. I'm taking gummi Vitamins & KyoGreen. KyoGreen taste awful but 4oz of Naked or Bolthouse mango masks the flavor really well. I hope this helps.

Low/no Carb Pure Whey Protien Powder
O.T.R. sleever replied to Jlewis229's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
First off, it's gotta be said even before your surgery the human body is only capable of absorbing 20-27grams of protien at one sitting. So all this stuff that advertises 40-50grams should be taken in 1-2 doses or less. Unfortunately I haven't tried any of the supplements you've listed so I'm not much help there. I can however tell you that the 2 top recommendations from ppl on this board are Unjury® protien powders (chicken Soup flavor is most popular) & Syntrax® nectar ( fuzzy navel seems to be most popular) -

Super Saturday Weigh In

Hmmm, well looks like I had a bad scale last week. I used 2 different scales this time. Now I'm 250. I guess the 20# in one week wasn't possible, but I'm still happy with 9# in two weeks, seems a bit healthier too. -
Seeking Reliable, Cost Effective Surgeon
O.T.R. sleever replied to leprechaunmomma's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This depends on what you consider "cost effective". Aceves, Ponce, Kelly, & Garcia are the highest recommended surgeons all have impeccable reputations. The question is what are you comfortable with? Aceves works out of a bit nicer facility, limits himself to 2 surgeries per day but is 8750 Ponce is a very well established surgeon that has taught the procedure to other successful surgeons (Kelly for example). He has a great coordanator named Trish that is a heaven sent, I could go on about her but I won't. His only downfall is the he doesn't speak English very well. Rate 5500 Kelly speaks fluent English and provides a lot of personal attention. He has chosen not to work with coordinators, and to take some of that responsibility on himself. Rate 5500 Garcia, to be honest I don't know much about but have seen tons of raving reviews. Rate 5000 (that might have been a special) Bottom line, if 3250 doesn't amount to much in your life, Aceves is the answer. But if you are willing to deal with a bit less hand holding the other 3 are just as good an option. For me, I went to dr. ponce de leon & I am very happy with my results. -
Why choose? I like meat sauce w/meatballs:D

Funny Things About Surgery In Mexico

Or at least don't plan on buying them in the hotel gift shop. Just view it as a convenience fee. All things considered $20 in extra expenses is not that bad. -

Awesome story. Can't wait till I can walk a mile. -
I had a small salad at about 3.5 weeks. But you gotta remember, most salads are nutritionally void (iceberg lettuce is basicly just water)

Why Am I Not Losing Weight?
O.T.R. sleever replied to jessica0728's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Is that 0.8lb in a day or a week? When was your surgery? Are you experiencing a stall? I've had a couple 2lb weeks, I think that is pretty normal, and almost everybody has stalls. -
Reviewing Mds In Mexico And Facilities

IDK about Dr. Almanza, probably not, I don't see that he would have any time to mess with plastics since he is known to be the highest volume WLS provider (it's not uncommon for him to have 5 surgeries in a day). But you can talk to Trish, she knows a couple cosmetic surgeons. There is also a plastics office in the INT. -
Do You Think There Is A Correlation Between
O.T.R. sleever replied to WLJourneyJ's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Nope, my pre-op diet was a total of 48hrs. The 3 or so weeks prior to that I was a total pig, eating anything I wanted and too much of it. My recovery has been a breeze, no pain, no nausea, no problems w/foods I've tried. So I think I probably went into this the worst way possible, & still have had great results. -
I for one read a post & if me posting would just be repeating someone else's response, I will typically not post a response. Maybe I should at least post that I agree with so & so. I just always felt that ppl would view that as a cheap way of boosting my post count. Another thing to be aware of is this is a very active forum and threads move down rapidly. I'm on an iPad, it only shows the top 15 threads so I miss a lot.

Hmmmm, Thin Soon, did you notice the last four posts say the same thing? I've got nothing against Dr Ponce de Leon, actually he did my surgury and I am actually considering sending my daughter to him (how's that for a recommendation), however, I hope you are just an excited future sleeves and not a shill. Just saying it looks suspicious when someone quotes a surgeons price 4 times in a row. -
What To Pack For Hospital ( Mexico).

I took my iPhone, iPad, 2pr shorts, 2 shirts, socks, undies, toiletries, & a pair of house shoes. All in a small gym bag. Oh yeah, my passport. -
Ha Ha Ha. I saw this video on youtube. I hate to say it, but I was waiting for the pole to collapse. I couldn't imagine having the confidence to even try anything of that nature on public television.
