Yeah, it's no big deal, the liquid really tastes like something from the chemical closet. But other than that it's easy peasy

Non Protein Shake Ideas For Lots Of Protein
O.T.R. sleever replied to WLJourneyJ's topic in Food and Nutrition
A typical day for me; 0600 30g premier protien shake or frozen frozen fruit smoothie w/Syntrax nectar 0900 10g 1whole egg+ 1 egg white 1100 23g 1liter Water w/1 ocean spray flavor(cran-cherry) & 1Syntrax nectar packet(cherry) 1300 15g 3oz tilapia filet 1600 30g premier protien bar(this is a calorie killer but I sacrifice a few calories for the extra protien) 1900 21g 3oz pork loin 2000 23g 1liter water w/1 ocean spray flavor(cran-peach) & 1Syntrax nectar packet(fuzzy navel) There is also another liter of water throughout the day but I didn't list it since there is no protien added to it. This is close to 1000 calories but has over 140g protien, and is based on 3oz portions on the more solid foods If you trimmed the portions in half and dumped the protien bar you'd end up at about 700cal and 90g protien -
Had VSG on the 23rd. But I'm scared, I've always been the adventurous type, and one to test my limits. 5 days post op I had egg drop soup & yesterday I tried a bit of retried beans (primarily for protein). I've had no discomfort or pain from either. I'm concerned this may be too easy, and thus end up being a fail for me.

Need Advice...
O.T.R. sleever replied to lovinglife84's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi, loving life, I'm from the Springfield area, and to be completely honest, I didn't have any luck finding anyone in SW Missouri that even offered the surgery. The medical community in this area seems to behind the times, still pushing RNY. I would recommend checking the Tulsa, KC, or Bentonville areas. And to be completely straight, yes, it is very likely that your breast will be affected by the weight loss, a good chance hat at 5'0" your weight loss won't stop at 150#, there are several ladies here in this site that are below their goal weights. Not saying that you can't stop the weight loss but if you follow through with the lifestyle change that comes with this surgery, your body will fid a place where it is comfortable. -
How Many Kg I Will Loose After Surgery
O.T.R. sleever replied to layal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Like Izuri stated, it's different from person to person, the only thing that is consistently predictable is that the higher your BMI is the faster your initial weight loss will be. Beyond that, there are too many variables, like, men typically lose faster than women, how much excercise & how intense your workout is, genetics, what you ingest, this is just a few. The sleeve is a tool for you to use. It can only be effective if you make it that way. -

It's not as hard as you might think, you do have to pay attention, but I for example manage to get over 100grams most days. -

Much like the bypas, your diet is pretty restricted in the early phases. However unlike the bypass, as time goes on you will have the ability to eat anything you want, just a lot less of it. There are advantages & disadvantages to both surgeries, obviously the opinions you are going to see here are going to favor the sleeve. It is a much less invasive procedure that carries a much lower complication rate. It can be a very effective tool if used properly, however it can also be abused like anything else. If you feel that you are the type to sabotage yourself, I highly recommend getting some counciling before committing to the surgery. Honestly, I wonder if it would have helped me.

Goal Weight. - How You Get The Number?
O.T.R. sleever replied to scorpion509's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I personally believe in setting attainable goals. I personally would set a goal at the high end of normal for my body type. Then once that goal is attained you can celebrate and use the motivation to evaluate where you are an maybe decide that you want to lose another 10 or 15lbs or not. Absolutely nothing wrong with setting multiple goals. -
