Thanks so much for this. The one thing that stands out to me right now is my neck. I am so looking forward to not having a double or tripple chin. -

Measuring And Weighing Liquids And Food
O.T.R. sleever replied to Kelly123's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Absolutely nothing wrong with freely drinking. Liquids are not affected by your restriction. Keep measuring your food though. -
"wls Is Not What God Intended..."
O.T.R. sleever replied to Susan 2.0's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Since this thread is still active, I'd just like to point out a simple observation. Both of these surgeries are directly related to and are a result of sins (deadly sins). The major difference I see is that one is done to help us flee fom the sin of gluttony, the other is performed to embrace the sin of vanity. So what have here is someone who is embracing their sin chastising someone for turning away from theirs. -
Sleeve Vs Lap Band
O.T.R. sleever replied to michelleooo513's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
That is incredible. Is all of the 121 since surgery? If not how much has been since you were sleeved? I thought I was on the high side, losing 85lbs in 15 weeks. Unfortunately I've been stalled for about a month now. -

Advice Wanted
O.T.R. sleever replied to Lindsey Toppila's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, you can have children post sleeve, providing there are no other circumstances preventing this. It is recommended to wait at least a year to make sure you are completely healed & all of the internal swelling is gone. Even better to wait 2 years so that your body has completely recovered(skin done shrinking etc). As a matter of fact, pregnancy has jokingly been referred to as a side effect of the sleeve. -
Ha ha ha. Not my experience. Once the slimy trots were over, the next stage had me fondly remembering the easy poo days.

I've really gotta say, I think the sleeve is one of the best things I've done for myself. As for the band, well, take a look at this thread. http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/48153-is-the-band-that-bad/ And if that doesn't do it for you, watch this. -
Peanut Butter Cup
O.T.R. sleever replied to jennrus's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If only..... I wish that something would make me feel bad. I seem to have a cast Iron sleeve. Nothing bothers me. This means that I have to be extra vigilant about what I put in my mouth. Be grateful that your new tool is working overtime to keep you on the straight & narrow. -

Tasteless Protein
O.T.R. sleever replied to wishfulaimee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Depends on the soups. If its a creamy soup I'd use Unury unflavored, if it's a chicken flavor I'd use Unjury chicken soup. Neither are truly flavorless but they will work nicely. I'd recommend buying a couple single serving packs to try them first. -
Probably need to talk to your Dr. Have them change your prescription to a different PPI

Excessive Dry Mouth...w Cpap..
O.T.R. sleever replied to Patrick Curl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If I drink at least a gallon of Water during the day I don't have this problem. The lees I drink tge worse it is. This makes me believe it's directly related to your level of hydration. -
