Ideal weight question
O.T.R. sleever replied to Unbesleevable's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My wife is 5'9" she was 150lbs when we met. Even at that she wasn't a rail. She was fit, small chested with a booty that was like....... POW!!! -
They are designed for this particular purpose. And it doesn't "take the smell away" as much as it doesn't create the smell because there is no combustion.

Vaping is using a vaporizer. It delivers the THC without the smoke or smell. With a good portable vaporizer like an "iolite" you could "smoke" 3' from someone & they're never know.

It starts liquid. Then after a couple weeks it turns solid. -
You have no idea how lucky you are to have not gone the debt route. IMO debt free is tge only way to live. I did it for years, then I tried the debt thing, NEVER AGAIN. I even advocate the 100% down program on houses.

O.T.R. sleever replied to LadiWobs's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I find it amusing that people post in this thread just to point out that ppl are still posting. Kind of like waking someone up to tell them it's bedtime. -

I add 2tblsp and put it in the fridge for 10-15 min. So, yes, semi gelled. -
BMI 41 no comorbids...what are the odds?
O.T.R. sleever replied to Emilee68's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Typically as long as your policy covers the sleeve, as long as you are over 40BMI you should get approved. Typical criteria is BMI over 40, or over 35 w/2 comorbidities. -
Positive Self-Talk
O.T.R. sleever replied to toylitpapr's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Honestly, I don't need much self talk. All the extra attention keeps me motivated. Not to mention how great I feel now. You couldn't pay me to turn back. -

How likely is it to gain weight after?
O.T.R. sleever replied to Harpo's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree. There is more to the story. But my thought is there might have been a true 5-6lb gain. The rest is likely retained Water & possibly a wardrobe difference. But then again I'm just speculating. Heck, it might have been 2 different scales with one out of calibration. -

How do you deal with the cravings?
O.T.R. sleever replied to roiansmom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm curious, have you been eating mashed potatoes? I notice that everything you are craving is full of carbs. Carb cravings are usually triggered by eating other carbs. -
NO SPOILERS!!!!!! I have to wait for the iPad app to update to watch the latest episode.

I've never had any restriction of liquids at all. And as far as veggies go, I think you are fine. Veggies usually have a lot of Water in them, plus, if you are talking about salads or the like, 2 cups really doesn't amount to much. The only thing that concerns me is you never mentioned Protein. Make sure your Proteins are addressed before veggies.

VSG and sleep apnea
O.T.R. sleever replied to teenietiny's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've been on a CPAP for about 8 years now. I'm 9mo post-op & really think I would pass a sleep study now. However, due to the high cost involved in going to a sleep lab (home studies aren't accepted in my business) I'm going to wait a few more months. As far as anecdotal evidence, I really don't need much sleep anymore. And even when I do go without my machine, I've been told that I don't snore anymore & I don't gasp for air either. -
Do you remember Patrick?
