  1. I hate two yogurts with 12 almonds instead of eating a meal against my the wishes of my nut. I didn't want anything to eat and it went down so easily. I also went to a gourmet olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and salt shop. Try a few different types of salt (Hawaiian red, Himalayan, and Black Sea salt), with my wife and almost threw up and passed out. Man, that sodium can kill you.
  2. Congrats to you on your loss. Keep up the good work. I noticed in another thread you were talking about finger size after weight loss. Did you have to have your wedding ring resized? I think I may have to do so soon.

    Big Pants

I'll have to see if I have a pair left to use as point of reference. If I do, I'll post a pic. You guys are such an inspiration to us all. Thank you all for your pics. I have something to look forward to in the future.

    Big Pants

Great job to both of you. My wife donated all of my big clothes to charity so I have no pics to post.

I am stuck at 95lbs. My first goal is 100lbs but I've been stuck here for almost three weeks.

    Where are the 50s ???

I think a lot of us have that thought. Especially when we're older when we get sleeved. Stick to the program set forth by your surgeon and nut and you'll see results.

    Where are the 50s ???

Keep you initial weight loss expectations reasonable and not attach a number, which is the mistake most newly sleeved make. As for the clear liquid phase, I had Gatorade, crystal light, and chicken broth, and of course water. Good luck to you on your upcoming surgery.

A year out! Pic included :)

Congrats to you on an awesome job.
  10. My former manager who was very overweight before losing 160lbs via wls experienced this while on an interview. The interviewer drew a big circle with arms and told him that his weight would keep him from being hired by him. The SVP told insulted him and said he could not never be taken seriously in management at his company. Which by the way was a Fortune 50 financial firm. My former boss sued and settled the case for $50K. That was a very expensive mistake by the interviewer, who had to go through sensitivity trainer as a condition of the settlement . I wonder how often that happens and goes unreported?
  11. I have been sharing the before and after pictures with my wife (who was in awe and stunned) and she posed this question. Do you get attention from people of the opposite sex who previously ignored you? Are you flattered, insulted, or embarrassed. Sound off my fellow sleevers.
  12. Congrats to you. Keep up the good work.

    Secret Sleevers?

Only my immediate family knew and that is still the case after 7 months and a 95lb weight loss.

    Scared to death!

I agree with Laura and Indigo, finding and seeing a good therapist can help you deal with you food addiction. Having an addictive personality is a hard issue to handle. You don't want to trade your food addiction for another destructive behavior and a therapist can help you. You're strong as a cancer survivor who has been through surgery and can do this. I'm not a cancer survivor but someone who has undergone 7 surgeries in 6 years including the sleeve, and will be undergoing my second neurosurgery in a year in the coming weeks. So, I know how you feel, as someone who has survived a life threatening infection. Sure, you're afraid and freaking out as many of us are (were), but we made it or will make it through and so can you. Let the therapist help you resolve your issues with food, and not let you mind keep you from saving your life. Good luck to you, and remember we're here to support you.
  15. I was thinking of another site when I wrote that.

Great job. Keep up the good work.
  17. Congrats on you anniversary and welcome back. I love to hear from the vets who are a few years out. It keeps me encouraged and gives me some to aspire to in the coming years.

    3 Week Stall

Hi all, Your respective stalls will break. I think we all go through that as our bodies adjust to the changes which have been made to it. Keep drinking your liquids, getting in your Proteins and the scale will start to move again. I also was one who read about all the successes and thought the surgery would work for everyone but me. However, I am 7 months out and 95lbs lighter and still losing. Good luck to you all and keep your heads up and stay encouraged.
