  1. I'm having surgery on Wed also! And i also feel like the only reason I've been able to do this diet is because of that light at the end! Good luck.
  2. I'd be lying if I said I'm not worried about my relationship with my husband after weight loss. He's not supportive of my choice to get WLS, he doesn't want to even know when I get it done. Ive been with him for 10 years and have 3 kids. I'm scared that weight loss will give me the confidence that I've lacked and that I'll stop putting up with his crap. He's not horrible, but I do feel like I put up with far more then what most women put up with.
  3. I'm worried that after surgery I won't lose as much weight as I hope to. I've been on the preop diet for about 8 days now and I've only lost 6 lbs... given I cheated once, but still I feel like I've been eating hardly anything at all compared to the way I used to eat. Anyone else afraid of the sleeve not working for them? Surgery date is 11/28
  4. So I had 1 plate of a little bit of everything yesterday and my scale this morning is telling me I gained 3 lbs!!! Wtf?!?!? So since my scale is telling me I didnt do so great yesterday I'm starting my liquid diet 5 days in advance instead of only 2. Today is day 1 and Im doing great so far. I've read that some of you had to be on liquids 2 weeks in advance! So I figured 5 days isn't bad.
  5. Please don't let me go nuts on all the food that will be on the table Thanksgiving day. Please let me have the will power I need to stick to AT LEASE a tiny portion of everything. I'm suppose to be on 2 Protein shakes and a protein based meal til Sun, then 2 days of liquids only before surgery on Nov 28th.
  6. I have told both parents and husband that the surgery will be soon. Just not telling them when.
  7. I've been doing diets the 10 years I've been with him. He can't tell one diet from another. Lol
  8. Yes, and a friend will be taking me.
  9. I'm so thankful for having this app and my Friday night Bariatric surgery classes. If I didn't have these places to vent I'd go nuts!! My husband isn't supportive of my choice to have surgery and my parents aren't either. I'm pretty much alone in my journey. I've decided not to tell them my surgery day is a week from today. I'm supper excited about it, but my husband trying to convince me not to do it just brings me down. We always end up in a fight and this time he said he doesn't want me to EVER mention the surgery again! Total ass, but whatever. He doesn't know what it is to struggle with weight your entire life!! I have 3 kids and I'm trying my best so that they won't have to go through what I went through! Ok feeling a little better. :}
  10. Vitamins I'm ok with taking daily, but medicine for the rest of my life... Not so much. :/
  11. Does everybody get it after VSG?
  12. Well thank God! I think the surgeon was just trying to scare me out of the bypass and it worked... I'm now getting the sleeve. I was just still concerned about the Rh- Thanks everyone!!
  13. I'm Rh negative and the surgeon kind of, while reading my medical history, pointed it out. I asked if that was an issue and he said that I might lose a lot of blood because of it. :/ just wondering if anyone else has this and has gone through surgery. How did the surgery go? My WLS date is Nov. 28th.
  14. Aww I can't wait to be in your shoes!! You're an inspiration to me. I'll be starting at your weight and hopefully ending at your weight as well! Great job and you have a beautiful family.. Great pics. Surgery date is Nov 28
  15. Hi everyone! I'm new to this app. I was on the gastric bypass app because I had my heart set on that surgery, but my surgeon suggested I get the sleeve instead. He said it has the same results as the bypass, but with less risk. Surgery date is Nov. 28th wish me luck!
  16. My surgery is Nov. 28. The problem is that I still don't know what I'm having.. Gastric bypass or gastric sleeve!? My heart was set on bypass, but my doc seemed totally against it. :/
  17. Jessica you and I have the same surgery date!!! I'm super nervous. My friend text me saying I should write a will!! :/ Anybody write a will before surgery?!
  18. Crstalww... Thanks so much. I'm having surgery in Harbor City, California with Dr. Mun. I don't have any support at home so I'm super greatful for this app and everyone on here!
  19. I'm Nov. 28th and completly terrified now!! :/ I met with my surgeon today and he's all for the sleeve. He scared the crap out of me with all the risks and things that can go wrong with the bypass.
  20. ...then the sleeve?! I just finished seeing my surgeon and he scared the crap out of me!!! He says that the sleeve and bypass have the same results except the bypass has a higher risk with complications. I know it does, but he just made it sound so scary. My heart was set on gastic bypass, but now I'm just so confused!!
  21. Omg I'm in the same boat just in reverse! :/
  22. My parents worry too much and my husband doesn't support my choice in having surgery. So I'm left with a mission impossible... I'm not telling them when my surgery date is and I'm going to have a friend take me. I feel so alone and the worst part is that I LOVE to inform people about what's going on with me, so keeping it a secret is definitly going to be hard. :/
