I'm feeling so crappy right now with this head cold can't believe I'm still going to gave surgery in a couple of hours.

Omg that's great! It's the only thing that'll take away my headaches.

Can we take it after surgery?

Got my ass chewed by my surgeon as well. He was upset that I hadn't lost any weight in my pre op class. He put me on a 2 week preop diet and I've lost 10 lbs. Today is my surgery. I'm hoping 10 lbs is enough. :/ Can you possibly ask for a different surgeon?

Well, I'm pretty much ready for surgery today. I'm a little nervous, but I guess that's normal. I'll be calling my parents as soon as I'm out. I figure my husband will find out eventually. He's really good with the kids.. They are also HIS kids sooo I'm pretty sure he can handle a night alone with them. :} My excuse for leaving is that I'm having an all girl adult slumber party lol... He knows that's not true, but I guess that's what we'll be calling my surgery.. The "slumber party". I know it sounds really bad, but that's what it is. I married someone that's the complete opposite of what and who I am. But since this is a WLS app, I'll leave the details of my issues with my husband for the Marriage Counseling app. Lol

I don't have a cough, but I do have plenty of sneezing.. which I assume is just as bad! :/

To be a vegetarian after having this surgery? Any vegetarians out there?

I got a cold!! I'm going to have surgery tomorrow with a cold! :/ I called to let them know and they said it was ok as long as I don't have a fever. Anyone else have surgery with a cold? I think recover is going to be a biatch!!!

Prayers and well wishes are very much welcomed!! Thank you so much!! I really appreciate your support. I know I can't be the only one going through this and that's why I come on here. And hopefully I can support others, especially those that are in my similar situation.

Can't wait to be in your shoes! My husband just wants me to do it the "natural" way... Good old fashion diet and exercise. This man was raised vegetarian and has never had an issue with weight. :/

My surgery is on Wednesday and today I woke up with a really minor sore throat and stuffy nose!!!!!! Nnnnnooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! I was asked to notify them if I got any cold or flu symptoms. I don't want it to be canceled.. What should I do?!?

Recovering from iggychic's comments?! Yes! :} No, my surgery is on Wednesday... But thank you sooo much, I truly appreciate your good thoughts.

My kids are 10, 8, and 1. The older 2 will be in school and my mother watches the little one. I will not tell my husband about the surgery, but he'll find out. My parents will be notified as soon as I'm out. My sister is the only one that knows and she's going to help pick the kids up from school, help with homework etc etc.

Iggychic you obviously don't know my life story or the people involved. I respect your opinion, but I wasn't asking for it. I just needed to vent. My husband can be a real a*****e sometimes and I just rather save myself the trouble of having to hear his **** the day of surgery. You must have an amazing, super supportive husband and that's great... I don't.
