  1. I get 60-80g of protein a day and 900 calories, but sometimes i gain and the weight loss is so slow. I exercise every other day, but try to keep active by moving around on non-exercise days...wth is up?!?!
  2. Ok, sounds good...I gotta try that and curb the carbs. Thanks.
  3. Read that some fellow sleevers have stretched their sleeves by eating too fast or too much. I know that curbing your intake on a regular stomach can shrink it. Do you think we can shrink our sleeves back down to the size they are supposed to be by eating a bit less? Just worried I've stretched my sleeve because I can eat more than I've read that others can at the same stage of post-op and I don't want to hinder my weight loss.
  4. Thanks, I already planned on mentioning it to my surgeon.
  5. I have this sharp "pulled muscle" ab pain by my biggest incision site when im moving around at night. It comes and goes, but only seems to happen when im laying down. Im 9 weeks post op, so I thought I should be healed by now.
  6. Says on the package that it can be used as a substitute for egg, but I haven't tried it myself. I originally bought it to make lactation cookies, but stopped breastfeeding shortly after buying it.
  7. Feeling like a hungry hungry hippo today...once the feeling of fullness goes away I wanna eat something. Already "cheated" with some ice cream so im not gonna use up anymore calories today...gotta save it to pack on the protein...as it is I think I may have to go exercise at the pool to burn some. Just thought I was done with the munchies and eating out of boredom...boo,
  8. I used quick oats and left them whole
  9. Oddly enough I had some, lol. I know its not a common ingredient. I used bob's red mill brand.
  10. This made 4 small pancakes and I could only have one...calculated in mfp and its about 9g protein and under 100 calories for one pancake. My son and husband were happy to help eat the other three.
  11. 1/2 c uncooked oatmeal/oats 1 tbsp flaxseed meal 4 egg whites 1/2 scoop Protein powder 2 tsp baking powder 2 tbsp lemon juice 1 tbsp sugar (can use prob half tbsp of no cal sweetener) Mixed those ingedients, then cooked in coconut oil. Drizzled pancake syrup on top.
  12. I feel pretty guilty too...been incorporating simple carbs back into my diet (still eating protein first) and I keep having to lie down after eating because im eating too fast...any tips on how to break myself?
  13. Sorry, my email wasn't letting me know there were responses. I had the second CT and went to the surgeons...the computers were down so they couldn't look at the scan. They said they would call me but haven't. The surgeon did say that the fact that my pain is gone is a good sign and gave me the ok to go off the antibiotics. Been feeling ok and started exercising finally. Thanks for the support and positive thoughts everyone!
  14. Its. The gnc brand 100% whey...its 21g per scoop
  15. It's a bit more pricey, but I like the unflavored protein mixed with my favorite crystal light flavors...fruit punch CL mixed with 2 scoops of protein gives me most of the protein i need for the day so I dont have to stress later. Just had some cottage cheese with a bit of salt and pepper and im completely full. Most of my head hunger involves sweet sweet carbs...lol.
  16. Im 4 weeks out, I've had some complications, and no weight loss this past week...I like to consider myself a foodie...I didn't get obese from junk, just a lot of rich and quality food. Lately if I think about certain foods they seem appetizing, but start eating anything and i lose interest in food rather quickly. I've even been really picky with drinks. Anyone else?
  17. Well, the pain has subsided for me. Had ct scan yesterday, find out today from doctors what the results are. Here's hoping abscess is on its way out.
  18. Thanks so much for the thoughts and prayers...every positive thought helps...im trying to remain positive, but also not getting my hopes too high. Since starting the antibiotic therapy I've had less pain and am able to do more. And the tricks I've found to avoid extreme nausea are helping me deal.
  19. So, im writing this after having to swallow 8 pills. I had internal bleeding after my vsg surgery and they had to go back in to remove a softball sized clot...then I received 2 liters of blood. Once I started feeling better at home my back was hurting...it hurt to breathe in deeply. I mentioned this to my surgeon and he ordered a ct scan. The day after the scan I went in to discuss the findings and was kept in the hospital overnight given IV antibiotics for an abscess by my spleen. I refused a biopsy after they told me the risks so they gave me antibiotics to take home. Now I have to take 2 tabs of zofran (anti nausea) with the flagyl and cipro 2x a day and have to wrap the flagyl in tissue just so the taste doesn't make me vomit. During the day I take nexxium, my multivitamin and iron supplement. I take hydrocodone for the pain and my regular meds...ugh. ok, rant over.
  20. What's the three week stall? Im 3 weeks.
  21. I have an android...can't find it
  22. Good to know its not just me...my husband was like "why do u need 5 pillows?" The other night because I have one between my knees, one agains my stomach, two under my head and one behind my back, lol.
  23. Yes thank you everyone...your advice has been helpful.
