  1. @ butterfly - I am sorry you are only getting that much in; I don't know of I would try eating or just focusing on my liquid; dehydration is nothing to joke about.... Good luck friend!
  2. Don't get frustrated. From what I have read everyone is different but the weight will come off. I have been on 2 ounces of clear fluids for a week and then have tries to up it. I don't thk im getting 6-8 but maybe 3-4 an hour. Dr. Let me start jello creamy soup at day 8 which has been helpful but after a couple of tiny bites I'm done... But the taste is like heaven. And I also find myself enjoying the smell of food now. I go to the kitchen while my husband cooks and just smell, but I do not touch!!
  3. I was sleeved on the 5th. Down 8 pounds. How many ounces of fluid are you guys getting in in an hour or per day
  4. Lissa what a blessing! You truly understand the unique gift of life. So proud of you!!!
  5. I am very sorry you are going through this. I will be praying for you!
  6. Yes I was emotional. I tried to act calm but inside I was so terrified. I did not sleep at all the night before surgery so my nerves were intensified the morning of. They gave me a Xanax, I relaxed some and by the time they rolled me in the operating room they had given me something else. I saw the dr. for just a sec then was out. I am 6 days post op today. It's normal to be fearful.
  7. Thks I probably should have tried tht first!
  8. Ok I had surgery on Tuesday, but it has actually been since Friday before that I went to poop. Sorry I'm not sugar coatig. I didn't want to disturb my dr since he is the one on call because their voicemail says for emergencies, so I took a suppository (glycerin); I did have to strain some and now my mom is scaring me saying I could really cause problems by straining. I don't plan on straining all the time but by god I had to have some relief. Has anyone else had this issue? Have you ever heard of someone popping a staple and causing a leak from straining due to constipation? I feel fine just checking on here.... Thanks
  9. That is relief to know!!
  10. I am on one ounce of clear liquids every 30 minutes for the first week; my mom keeps telling me I can take more than that but I am scared to do this. Next week I get to add creamy soups and watered down oatmeal, but same amount. I have not been hungry but have experienced some head hunger. Let's just say I have had to sit through my fair share of southern home cooked meals. My mother in law, husband, and mother who is a sleever herself have constantly been frying stuff from the garden; like okra and tomatoes.... Tonight she did bacon, lettuce, tomato sandwiches; don't get me wrong I know they have to eat but do we have to smell the whole house up in the process....when I say something she just laughs and says get used to it....however she has been wonderfully supportive in other ways an I am soooo thankful to her!
  11. Welcome sleeved three days ago. I'm still learning to use this site, but it is very addicting; more so than facebook to me... Lol
  12. I think I'm gonna try and join the facebook page soon. It's been three days since surgery, I must say I feel a lot better than the first!
  13. Well hopefully you don't know how to compare the stabbings. Not very nice. I am 3 days out and I am stiff in my back and sore in stomach. My right side seems to hurt worse than my left. I have had a good experience so far and I am thankful the Lord! I had never had surgery so it was a new experience, but I went in telling myself it's going to hurt for a little while. Funny thing is when my doctor came by on the release date. I said to him "Now let me make sure we are the same page, I shouldn't be sore at all (smiling)". He replied "that's right you have been cut, poked, and proded no pain at all" (smiling). I said "good I just wanted to make sure we were on the same page, as I told my nurse I would need the pain med for the drive home!!!"
  14. Hi friends...this is AnewMe...posting from the hospital. So far I have been extremely blessed and give all the glory to Jesus! My mother has been my angel and encouraged me to get up and get moving. The pain after surgery is definitely not something I would want to do everyday, but with the medication it was tolerable. I am moving better each time I get up. Will continue to post updates!! Thanks fir all your thoughts! So excited about what the future holds.
