  1. Hello All! How often do you weigh yourself? It is my understanding and I see how, that some people can become addicted to weighing themselves. I have heard some say they weigh daily or multiple times a day. What is your schedule? What do you consider to be a healthy relationship with the scale? Does twice weekly sound alright? Looking forward to hearing! Sannah
  2. Snail slow eh? I am sympathetic to how slow this process is! I am pre op and 3 months into my 6 months medically supervised weight loss period, per insurance! WOO HOO On Thursday I start my appointments. Next week I have all my PT, psychological evaluations, NP, and nutrition appointment. I hope the days start to pass by fast! I know watching the Olympics helps! How did you like the opening ceremony last night? Have a favorite event for summer? Sannah
  3. I am still pre op, but I hope you feel better soon! Wishing you Wellness, Sannah
  4. Hello! Welcome to the forum both of you! Congrats to both of you as well! I hope your wife is healing and adjusting nicely! Sounds like dealing with the insurance company was rough. I have Premera BSBS, I understand it is tough! I hope your procedure goes smoothly! Best of luck to you both! Wishing you Wellness, Sannah
  5. I have a digital scale and I have used it for years (2003). Very helpful for measuring my food portions and for making different recipes. The scale has both standard US and Metric measurements. I purchased mine at Bed, Bath & Beyond. However, they are rather common and you should be able to find them at Fred Meyer, Target, and most cooking shops. For me the scale was an essential tool in previous weight loss. I am currently pre op and I have every intention of using it post op. I currently use it and track on My Fitness Pals. I have messaged with a few others who are sleeved and they (not all) use a digital scale. I would say this is a good purchase! Wishing You Wellness, Sannah

  8. Very nice! You have the process rolling eh? I am pre op as well. I have had my sleep study and I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea! I was so confident that I did not have this problem. I felt devastated when I received the news!! Next week I have my PT, NP, Psychological evaluation, and nut appointment. I hope your sleep study results yield no sleep apnea!! Wishing you Wellness, Sannah
  9. WOO HOO! Go you! You are looking beautiful! Thanks for sharing!! I hope to have the same success! Sannah
  10. CBT: Glad to hear you had no complications!! Bummer to hear about your pain level, that sounds like it could have been rather challenging! Thursday I have my PT, NP, Psychological evaluation and Nutrtional appointments. I am three months into the six month medically supervised weight loss program, which is required through my insurance (Premera BCBS). I looked at the Oregon Weight Loss Clinic as well.. Maybe I should go back and find out if Emma Patterson accepts my insurance. I have heard many great things about Emma. So did Emma come to Legacy to perform your procedure? Wishing You Continued Wellness, Sannah
  11. Hellonurse! I am having some weird profile problems. I have the app on my iphone. I am just realizing this and I am not sure what to do. Both have the name Sannah, but different photos. I want to avoid any confusion. Until Then, Sannah
  12. I am in the same situation. I poster a similar question a while ago and what I learned is this. Of course we all know we can't control the 'nature' aspect of this. But we can control the 'nurture' aspect. Lotion frequently(daily)-for moisture to encourage elasticity Exfoliate weekly- get the blood flowing. One gal said she uses st Ives. Bio oil- not sure how often Under garments- like spanx to teach the skin where it should be Exercise, especially weights!! I hope this was some what helpful. Hoping for tight skin for all!! 13. Sweet rear!! I am a caffeine LOVER. I was drinking coke zero. I am in my 6 month medically supervised diet. About 45 days ago I cut out coke zero. I also went from six shots of espresso daily to two shots. I want to conquer the caffeine before surgery. Most days two shots of espresso is good. On hard/stressful days I grind Beans and turn on the espresso machine. Agh.... I was recently diagnosed with sleep apnea and maybe this is my reason for being addicted to caffeine. I often feel like functioning without caffeine is impossible. I hope to have a healthy relationship with espresso one day. Thank you for sharing your story!!! It sounds like I am not alone with this struggle. Maybe some of my love for espresso is cultural? After dinner we always prime the espresso machine, especially if company is over. Wishing you all wellness!! Sannah Sent from my iPhone using VST
