I got pregnant 10 months after surgery back in 2013 (and pregnant again in 2015!!) my doctor assured me that the baby would not suffer from my low intake. The baby takes everything they need and if anyone were to suffer from not eating enough, it would be the mother. I was down to 170 pounds when I got pregnant the first time, gained 15 pounds, after she was born I managed to not lose a single pound (my fault, not the surgery's) and a month after her first birthday I became pregnant with my second. That time I gained 30 pounds (up to 225, if you can follow my rambling). She is now 2 months old and I'm down to 205 pounds and trying hard to lose the rest.

Hide the Protein powder in things you do like. Sugarfree pudding. I mix a scoop with 12 oz oz of skim milk. Blend for a few seconds' date=' then add the package of pudding. Let it set and you have 15 grams of Protein in a serving. You can't taste it.If you are a coffee drinker, try a Mocha or latte, take the coffee, I brew a small cup, stick it in the freezer for a few minutes or just dump my leftover cold coffee in the blender with some ice, scoop of vanilla or chocolate powder, some skim milk and booyha! Instant treat.
Someone posted about about the fruit, I slice and freeze a few bananas, (they last about a week before they brown). Take a few slices, a few frozen strawberries or hand full of frozen blueberries, some skim milk and scoop of vanilla and yummy fruit smoothie.
Hope some of these ideas are helpful.[/quote']
Omg! Today I put a scoop of vanilla powder in my coffee and I couldn't taste the protein, only the vanilla!!! Thank you!

If you type "pizza topping only" into mfp, there's actually quite a lot of options to choose from

What kind of chewable do you take?? I'm 4 months out and always took the gummy vitamins with no problem. And then there was today. I was feeling adventurous and tried to take a regular multivitamin (up&up Target brand) and for the first time since being sleeved I vomited.

I've been in denial for a long time about my Protein intake. I don't eat meat and, at most, get 40 grams a day. I have a bunch of Protein Powder hidden in the back of the pantry, I can not stand the taste/smell. Here is the routine for when I actually bring myself to drink it: I have to hold my nose through the entire process, including when I open the tub to get a scoop out, put it in a shaker cup with 4 ounces of milk (the less I have to choke down, the better). Then I have to chug it down quickly. Then rinse my mouth out and pop in a peppermint, swish it around all surfaces of my mouth, including my lips. After another minute or 2, then, and only then, will I allow myself to breathe through my nose. But wait, I'm not done, now I need a strong stick of gum to chew for awhile because I will burp in a few minutes and it will taste like the nasty Protein Shake I just tried so hard to avoid tasting in the first place. There has got to be a better way! Let me say this: I have tried (and love) the clear Isopure Protein Drinks. The problem is I can not afford them at this point and need to use what I already own which is, unfortunately, chocolate and vanilla powders. Please let me know if you have found an easier way...

Quick question... after a stall, did you still lose at the same rate as before? Or did it slow down after that for you?

See now, my surgeon and dietician's line of thinking seems to be opposite of what others have posted here. Mine told me to get to 1000-1200 as soon as possible. I am 3.5 months post op but those caloric guidelines were made very clear to me at my 1 week check up.

So I'm 3 months out and lost 47 pounds. Somehow I'm only down 1 size (started at size 20, now at size 18). How does 47 pounds equal 1 size? I should have measured myself prior to surgery but didn't. Don't get me wrong, I am so thankful to have lost that weight, I just don't know where it went from, lol!

Will somebody share their daily meal plan with me that 1.) does NOT include any meat, seafood, or poultry, but dairy is ok 2.) is at or around 50-100 carbs/day and 3.) includes enough Protein that we need??? I find it almost impossible to eat "low carb" and still get my protein in. I need some suggestions!!! Please help

I am 8 weeks out and eat 1,000 calories per day. Sometimes more, sometimes less. My RD recommends 1,000-1,200.

I lost weight my first and second week after surgery but then began to gain weight and was very upset. But I waited it out and you know what happened? I got my period! I was not expecting it as I have not had one in over a year (PCOS and weight related, I'm 26 years old) and then I lost that weight after my period was over.
