I will be sleeved Oct 17 by the same doctor and also at GBMC I would like to talk to you about your experience and how it went.

I am down 30lbs and hoping to lose another 10pds by Christmas. I think I'm stalling also here is a before and after pic

I was this same way right after surgery for about the first two weeks I thought I had stretched my sleeve b/c I was able to eat and drink with no problem. Well I am now a month out and I can't eat anything I was trying to eat some steamed shrimp and was only able to eat 2 large shrimps b4 I couldn't eat any more. The thicker the food is the harder it is to eat a lot I can't even eat an entire boiled egg now. I was told the reason you can eat more earlier on is b/c your stomach is still healing. Hang in there you will eventually feel that your surgery was done sometimes I get upset and say man I wanted to eat all of that but then it hits me and I say the reason I had this surgery was so I don't eat all of that. I really hope this helps you.

I was sleeved on 10/17 feel great no pain at all still trying to get in all the liquids plus Protein. My goal for tomorrow is to get those liquids in and focus on that to see how much I am actually drinking everyday. I start Purée food Monday and really need some recipes on what to eat. I am down 25lbs so far taking everything one day at a time looking forward to the day when my clothes fall off and I am forced to buy new ones. Refuse to shop now I have noticed clothes are fitting better and my energy is great. I hope all my fellow 17th sleevers are doing great lets stay in touch and check in on November 17th and see how we are doing and let's encourage each other to lose this weight and get healthy. Hello everyone surgery on 10/17 was successful I'm feeling good no pain at all. I am now two weeks out and think I'm going to try and go to practice on Thursday (if Hurricane Sandy is gone by then)and see how I feel. I have been singing around the house and it feels fine so hopefully things will be good. I am making sure I am using my gift from God don't want to lose it. Thanks again everyone for your insight on this subject.

Okay I'm a 17 th sleever last week I was on liquids and I was not getting full at all but this week is a different story with purée/soft foods. I was eating 1/4 of a crab cake and I thought that was to small so I tried to eat another 1/4 and it all came up. Throwing up does not feel good so I need to make sure I stay with the amount b/c I hated throwing up yesterday. I hope everyone else is dong good.

I was sleeved on 10/17 down 25lbs so far and this is including my pre op diet well I was so happy my sister told me my face is getting smaller take a look. I'm so looking forward to more weight lost I had to have my husband hide the scale.
