  1. Hey I was sleeved on 11/12/12 and I have been able to get down a lot of stuff it almost seems like I didn't get it at if it wasn't for the amount I eat I would think this whole surgery was a fake lol. My surgon does not recommend a liquid diet after surgery pass a day or 2 if your body can take & my body has taken alot . Let me know if anyone else can relate ;0)

I was this same way right after surgery for about the first two weeks I thought I had stretched my sleeve b/c I was able to eat and drink with no problem. Well I am now a month out and I can't eat anything I was trying to eat some steamed shrimp and was only able to eat 2 large shrimps b4 I couldn't eat any more. The thicker the food is the harder it is to eat a lot I can't even eat an entire boiled egg now. I was told the reason you can eat more earlier on is b/c your stomach is still healing. Hang in there you will eventually feel that your surgery was done sometimes I get upset and say man I wanted to eat all of that but then it hits me and I say the reason I had this surgery was so I don't eat all of that. I really hope this helps you.

  2. I sing in a choir and was back to it two weeks post-op. No problems. Now' date=' 10months later, my voice had improved. I breathe so much better and it's helped my technique. Much more chord.[/quote']

Thanks I was hoping that it would improve my singing. I'm only two weeks post op and I went back already but no major change still singing the same.

  3. Thanks for the invite Jonathon!

On another note' date=' my surgeon called this am and I am being admitted to the hospital for a few days. He said I need thiamine and lots of fluids. Not just the few liters they've been giving me in the ER. He thinks that will help with the nausea too, but the kidney stones also cause me to be nauseas too. So, well see! Praying this gets me over this hurtle and that I pass the stones SOON! <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />[/quote']

Praying for you and that everything will work out.

  4. Mslnzee' date=' I learned that lesson the hard way today too. I had two or three bites of tilapia and 1 cluster of crab legs. Needless to say I ate it way too quickly and it came back up. Throwing up is strange for me now. It isn't like it used to be. But more of just a hard burp. It didn't hurt but wasn't enjoyable. I felt so much better after. I'm going to have to start using my food scale because it is really hard for me to judge 2 oz.[/quote']

You are so right it didn't hurt and you feel so much better once it comes out. I was like never again will I over eat that doesn't feel good at all. I noticed its going to take us all some time to get use to our new stomachs.

  5. Sleeved 10/2 so exactly one month out. I was cleared to start my regular diet a few day ago and everything is running smoothly. I will be cleared for exercise next week.

And I had/having a major victory. Flew last week from NY to HI and every plane I Got on the seatbelt fit!!! "click" "click". And now I'm heading back to NYC and so far seatbelts are still clicking!!! No more embarrassing' date=' hiding under the jacket pretending I'm buckled in!!!![/quote']

Congrats I use to do the same thing until I got caught and the flight attendant brought me a seat belt extender. Well I will be flying in December I told my husband I will probably be able to fit the seat belt.
