I'm kidding of course.... Just frustrated. I shouldn't be, but I am.
I am 30 days out tomorrow from being sleeved. I've lost a total of 22 lbs post sleeve. My scale hasn't moved in almost 3 weeks though!!!
I have no right to be upset.... Just tired of getting on the scale in hopes of seeing it move in be right direction but it won't! I'm doing everything to the letter and I'm beginning to get discouraged. I've been tracking my calories every day... Staying right at or just below my calorie budget. I'm getting a decent amount of fluids in (not quite up to 64 oz yet), AND I've been taking the dogs on nice walks every evening!
I'm not looking for major poundage everyday either.... I would be happy if it was only ounces... As long as it was moving!
(sigh)
I've already had all the rational talks with myself about how I'm only 4 weeks out.... And I need to give my body a chance... Blah Blah Blah... I think its everyone at work who have been my cheerleaders thru all of this whenever they see me asking me how many pounds I've lost.... Its so hard to answer them with the same # as it was 2 weeks ago.
Anyway.... I just needed to get that off of my chest. I need to break this stall one way or another!!

I want in! I'm 4 weeks post op and I am stuck, and cannot get the scale to move!
SW: 278
GW: 250
That's 28 pounds =\ Hope I can do it!
1. Get up to 64 oz. fluids per day
2. Walk for 30 minutes or more
3. STOP obsessing about how slow the weight loss is!

I'm in mushy stage too and one of my favorites is Chobani Champions greek yogurt for toddlers. 3.5 ounce serving 100 calories, 8 gm of Protein. They're the perfect size!
I also like ricotta cheese, cream of wheat (on the thin side) and refried Beans are good too!
My doc would allow me to eat tuna and chicken salad as well, mixed with fat free mayo or plain greek yogurt. I havent quite worked up to that yet though.

Chobani champions Greek yogurt made for toddlers. I've seen honey/vanilla, very berry, and orange vanilla flavors. Very good for Protein low calories and sugar and only 3.5 ounces a serving. These have become my #1 go to food.

What's the average 'heal' time? I was sleeved on June 7th and I get embarrassing gurgles after I eat. I am hoping this won't be a forever thing?

I was sleeved June 7th by Dr. Kim. These Soups are all fine and got me thru the phase 2 as well. I'm beginning to transition to phase 3 and SO ready for different tastes and textures!
Make sure you buy a mesh strainer for your soups. Too thick and you will have a hard time with it. I also liked to trick up the cream of chicken Soup with garlic powder and other seasoning. My all time favorite go to if you're close to a Central Market is to go drain some broth from their chicken noodles soup. You get all the flavor of the soup without all the 'lumps, bumps, and clumps' we're told to avoid.
Good luck to you!! You're doing just fine!

My physicians assistant told me that using a straw could rupture my stomach. I'm 3 weeks out. I work with a girl who had the dame surgery and she drinks with a straw but said she waited til 4-5 months out.

The Chobani Champions has 13g of sugar in each serving. The drinkable yogurt however, only has 8g.

I don't know if these items are carried in any other stores, but I found them at Central Market in Fort Worth, TX.
Chobani Champions is Greek yogurt for toddlers. I've tried the 'honey-nana' and 'very berry' flavors. Both are 100 calories a serving with 8 gm of Protein. Each serving is 3.5 oz.
Also at Central Market are 8 oz bottles (resealable) of drinkable yogurt. Various flavors and none more than 200 calories a serving (it usually takes me 2-3 tries to finish a bottle) each one has 7-9 gm of Protein.< /p>
These items have really helped my transition from liquids to purees and mushies. I just wanted to share!!

Ive tried all the mix with Water stuff' date=' it makes it worse for me. Plain Water is fine its just to drink it. I tried a PB cup shake mixed with water drank once sip. My mom mixed plain yogurt in it still only drank one sip. I just bought 12 of the new whey Protein shots that have 42g off Amazon. I have tried 2 flavors Walmart sells and that are ok so I will see how this does. I can force myself to drink a few onces if it has alot of Protein but this 8-16 oz for 14g is not going to cut it lol.[/quote']
I bought these Protein Shots too but if you look at the ingredients, the first one is collagen protein. This is not good for us bariatric patients. These shots are designed more for weight lifters than people like us who are trying to lose weight.

Hi, I'm Cindy. 37 years old. Live in Mansfield, work in Fort Worth. Married to my best friend 4 years. I have a 19, and 18 year old daughters both in college in Florida. I also have a 14 year old son with Aspergers and ADD who is about to start high school in the fall (god help me).
I was sleeved on June 7th by Dr. Kim. So, I'm 10 days out and still on liquids. I have 11 days to do before I can progress to pureed and mushies.
I started this journey at my highest weight ever, of 314. I am down to 285 now. I'd love to eventually get down to 130.

Hi all... Had my post op visit yesterday. Found out I'm doing great (Yay!), but also found out I have another 12 days on liquids...
I've really struggled to barely get 24-32 oz in each day. I've tried the 1 oz cups every 15 minutes but when I try to force myself to drink I vet really nauseous and begin to get chest pains.
I know I should mainly be worried about my fluids, but I'm also concerned about lack of Protein. I found these Odwalla drinks at the grocery store today.... Kind of high in calories but 15 grams of protein! I bought 2 just to see if I could manage it and so far so good.

I used Dr. Kim as well but with UHC. I only met Dr. Kim at my initial preop visit and then again the morning of my surgery. I found him to be very strict and to the point but what impressed me most was that from him to any person on his staff I was assured 'where there is a will there is a way'.
After considering the lap band 2 years ago with another Dr. and getting all the way to scheduling the surgery only to realize even with insurance (same as I have now) I wouldn't be able to afford to be banded and had to cancel. 2 years later I go to Dr. Kim without really believing I would be able to be sleeved and voila 3 months from consult I was sleeved! And my surgery was covered 100% thanks to Dr. Kim being as strict and thorough as he is. Every test and study he requires and recommends is like a coupon or a discount reducing your copay and out of pocket max.
I have my 2nd post op visit this week and with that counted, I've only been to Dr. Kims office 4x.... But whenever I have a question, his staff is incredible. I really don't think you will be disappointed with your decision to use him. Good luck!
