  1. Way to go! Your name suits you well!
  2. Thanks fireball! I walk the track with my friend while my son has football practice 3 nights a week, and go to the gym and ride a bike 5 miles 2 other nights a week. I usually only walk 1.5 - 2 miles. Before I go into my meals, my surgeon is very lenient. I do not count carbs or fat. I try to get Protein first but if I want a bite or two of a potato...well then that is what I do. Everything in moderation for me. This is not a diet as far as I am concerned. It is about a new, healthier me. Normal day B- One egg with a thin slice of some kind of white lower fat cheese L- 8 or so turkey pepperoni a couple squares of some kind of fruit and 3 or 4 baby carrots. S- Greek yogurt with a tablespoon of granola for crunch. D- usually chicken, fish or Laura's lean beef incorporated into something. As a side I usually have a bite or two of cottage cheese, a few bites of salad or a veggie. I drink one Powerade zero (32 oz), a 6 oz glass of skim milk, a 24 oz bottle of Water and a real caffeinated coffee with bad for you creamer but no extra sugar. Lastly, my hubby wakes up at 3:00am for work and I get up and drink 1/2 of a premier Protein shake. I do this for 15 extra grams of protein and because any shake makes my stomach hurt. Doing it this way, I am fast asleep again and don't notice the rumbles.
  3. Thank you! Me either, girlfriend!
  4. Thanks! I remember wearing that dress thinking how cute I looked. I looked pregnant! So thankful for my new, much more healthy body. Another 20-25 to go!
  5. At my heaviest, 213 and today at 161. Size 16 to size 8. Sleeved 7/18/12
  6. I am like that too sometimes. this was a pretty normal sized dinner for me though and dinner is my biggest meal of the day, as I eat at 5:30 and go to bed around 12:30.
  7. Stuffed chicken breast* Don't worry, it is cooked properly. The pink color is actually a reflection coming through the window from the leaves changing a beautiful orange.
  8. I am always curious what people were eating and their portion sizes are at X many months. I thought I would share my dinner from tonight. I am just about 3 months post op. I should note this is on a small plate. I put the regular dinner plate under it for reference. Tonight's dinner is 1/4 of a stuffed chicken, asparagus and one tablespoon of cottage cheese. I ate most of this with the exception of 1 asparagus and a bite or 2 of chicken. Show us what you eat!
  9. I stall all the time...if that is what you want to call it. I can go a week and lose nothing then the next week lose 7lbs. I am just short of 3 months out and have lost 50ish pounds. BMI 38 to 27
  10. Thanks, but honestly it doesn't seem like this would be their goal for me. I would be mad if this is where I ended up in all honesty. I have a way to go! I hope I really knock it out of the park. I figured 135 was good for me, and used 140 as that would put me at 'normal Bmi'
  11. I was trying to figure out my excess weight lost. My doctor said for VSG 60% of excess weight is considered a success. I am currently just under 3 months post op and have went from 209 to 163. According to the calculator (using 209 for start weight, my height of 5'4 and 60%) I have already met this..that can't be right? http://m.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/information/post+op+planner.php Is it?
  12. Sleeved July 18th 209 to 165 Down 44 lbs
  13. From a 16 to a 10 or 8 in jeans. XL or 1x to a M or L in tops! (surgery July 18) Shoes..8.5 to 7!
  14. Happy just updated my ticker to 169lbs. I am getting there! 40 lbs down from surgery date 7/18!
  15. You are doing GREAT! You WILL get to 155 and will laugh about this. I can feel it! Keep going girl!
  16. July 18th here too! 35 pounds lighter than on my surgery date!
  17. You look FANTASTIC! You should be proud of yourself, what an accomplishment!
  18. Way to go! I started at 209 and am 174 today. (surgery 7/18)
  19. Thanks ladies! Good luck LIIL, Wtg Angela!
  20. I was just updating my ticker and noticed 2 things. First, I am half way to goal. This amazes me because I can go a week or two (I am only 7 weeks out) and not lose a single pound, and then lose 4 or 5 in a few days and then stop again. Also, I and am a measly 0.2 from being at a BMI of 30 or under. As I mentioned in an earlier post I am also off all my meds. Life is good today. This surgery was not easy for me, but I must say I am starting to think it was worth it.
  21. Where are our July sleevers? How are ya'll doing?
  22. I should be clear. Just as I mentioned in a similar post, I do not eat things like this because I can't trust myself not to eat more than a bite, not because I look at my life as one big diet. If your doctor approves, and you can handle a small portion, knock yourself out. I personally know I would eat too much of it and would make a habit of it.
