  1. So far this has been the hardest thing I've EVER done as far as weight loss goes!!! I am down somedays because it is hard to eat more than a few bites, some days I just want to chug Water or tea like I use to! I know I'm only 4 weeks and a few days out, but really when does it get easier???? I'm following everything I'm suppose to do.....it's just so dang hard! Wait to drink, eat this at this time, take this Vitamin 2 hrs before this vitamin....and on!!! Please some reassurance....it's been a HARD DAY!!

I felt the same way for months, I couldn't decide if I regretted the surgery or not. I would get aggravated that I could only eat a few bites and couldn't drink and eat at the same time. I still continued to drink and eat at the same time as that was something I didn't want to give up. It took about 9 months for my stomach to stretch a little bit before I was able to say I truly enjoy having the sleeve done. Now a little over a year out I love it, I'm able to eat but not over eat. I still struggle with not wanting to eat though, I may think I really want something but after a couple of bites I'm not full I just "over it".

  2. My hubby just looked at your pics..He said you went from smiley to saucy....He laughed and said go get em girl!!!! LOLOLOLO

LMBO, tell your husband I said thank you! I feel saucey!! I catch myself trying to catch a glance of myself everytime I walk by a mirror. My mind has not caught up with my body yet, I still see myself and feel like who is that pretty lady. :)

  3. It's been a long time since I posted but I wanted to make sure I come back and update you all on my progress. I reached my main goal this morining, I'm finally below 200 pounds!! I'm 199 but I'll take it!

I had my surgery on 8/1/12 and have since lost a total of 143 pounds. Feel free to ask me anything... I was so happy I found this site when I considered having my surgery and pictures were a main factor in my decision as words can only mean so much but a picture can show a lot more.

  4. Hi,

I have also experienced a dramattic dectrase in my vision since my surgery. I've seen three different specislists and currently being treateted by a neuro opthamologist here in Dallas, I've been on leave from work as I was getting headaches from the daily strain. I find myself getting depressed thinking about having to go back to work as I find anything that involves a lot of reading intimidating now. :(

  5. Hi Everyone,

I'm a little over 8 months post op and I've had a major decline in my vision in the last 4 months. I go for my annual eye every year as scheduled, my first post-op visit was a month after my surgery and all was well, my vision declined a bit but nothing major well sometime between then and now its gone down tremendously.

My vision now with my glasses it what it was before without glasses. My Dr said even with a new RX my vision wouldn't be anywhere close to 20/20. After dong several tests he referred me to a specialist since he wasn't able to figure out what was going on.

He also stated that most of his patients have in increase in their vision or it remains the same. I've read that some people experience issues right after surgery due to certain medications however this didn't start until months after. Please let me know if you have experienced an issue similar to this or know of anyone who has.

  6. Get back on track and you will be fine, I hate to admit it but I cheated as well and all was well. I did awesome for my week liquid diet and then got weak the night before with the thought that this would be the last time I would be able to eat a real meal for a while, I had some grilled chicken. Afterwards I felt HORRIBLE and even thought about trying to throw it up. But there were no issues with my surgery... I have even read that some of the members on here are not even required to do a pre-op diet.

  7. Sorry this happened to you! Hopefully after you are past this you will be able to continue on your journey with no regrets!

We all went into this knowing there were risks for complications and all just hoped they wouldn't happen to us... Just keep in mind your reasons for going thru with the surgery and the happy days that are to come! :)

  8. HI everyone, I'm 4 weeks out today and wondering when I will be able to go out with friends for drinks or have a nice glass of wine at home. My doctor said a year but it seems the only reason that would suggest such a long time it because of the empty calories and him not wanting your weightloss to stop or slow down.

I aware of the empty calories and that I will feel it much faster so I'm just really wondering when can I drink without harming my stomach.

    Thanks for any responses.
