Nope! None! I tried everything on my own! I lost 50 pounds a 100 times! I have realized since having my surgery that I was doing my part prior to surgery it was just my huge stomach and the grhelin hormone working against me. Now I have a body that will work with me and not against me. And one that will reward me for my efforts now. I finally feel safe inside somebody else's wonderful body!

Im not hungry. I never hardly think of food now which is so different for me. I only eat because I know I have too. However, 3 bites into the meal and I'm full.

I'm freezing all the time too now. I was wondering what was up with that!

Ok, so here's what I got from this study:

• Younger mice without ghrelin were svelte.
• Older mice without ghrelin were more obese. I hope this doesn't mean it will be harder to stay fit when I get older (if I'm not mistaken by the study).
• Ghrelin is what controls growing. Does that mean I'm going to grow more? My feet have felt like they grew some, which may be all in my head but I noticed this a few weeks ago.
• I am sooo cold all the time. I do now believe that Ghrelin does have a lot to do with control of body temperature.

Thanks for sharing! I know this may be little different because the mice had no ghrelin receptors. Our ghrelin has just been decreased. Anyway its quite interesting!

Yes, sodium is a bitch. When I was dieting prior to surgery , anytime I stalled, sodium was always the culprit ! I daily intake should not exceed 2380.

In other words, when you suck through a straw, you first draw a column of air followed by the liquid you will ingest. So you would be putting large amounts of air in your new stomach first and could cause alot of pain and discomfort.

Because you swallow air first when drinking from a straw! You can use a sports bottle to avoid swallowing air. They are made so you don't swallow air first.

Omg...I crave my Protein drink. It is so yummy!

I buy Atkins Dr. chocolate. I dump the premade drink in the blender and put in a scoop of Amplfy Protein Powder and a squirt of hersheys sugar free Syrup. This drink equals 35 grams of Protein . I drink one in the morning and one in the evening.

I've never heard of that. That can't be right. I would get clarification. I couldn't do that either if I had to.

Congrats! I'm gonna weigh later this week. It's tough but I stopped weighing everyday!

I'm jealous. 2moro is my birthday and today my boyfriend bought me' a little baby cake. I am only 2 1/2 weeks out so I felt it was much too risky for me to take a bite. However, my finger did accidentally touch the icing on the side so I licked my finger. LOL You are far enough out tho. Describe every bite to me. I luv cake , especially a gourmet wedding cake!

whey non flavored Protein. I put it in my milk and anything else I eat or drink. I dint even know it's in there! 26 grams of protein per scoop.

I ordered French onion Soup at Panera. I ordered without the cheese and croutons and just drank broth. It was awesome. Panera is so good.

Yeah, way to go with the 23 pounds! I've lost 13.5 in 12 days. I hope that means I will lose another 9.5 in the next 9 days to be where you are at , at the 3 week mark!

Oh Great, so glad to find somebody close. I live in Washington, MO. I was sleeved on the 20th. Glad everything is going well. This is a crazy ride, huh? Best thing I've ever done. Keep in touch.

TJ border was completely safe. Anything can happen anywhere. I seen nothing out of the ordinary and I felt very safe. That's saying alot coming from a scardy cat like myself.

If you are crazy then so am I! I would never swallow at this stage, I'm way too scared of doing that. However, I too, needed to crunch just once!!! LOL
