  1. Noooooo!!!!!! I guess I can mark that town off my list.
  2. Can someone post a link or information regarding support groups in the Charlotte area? I'm being sleeved on Oct 15th & will be in the Belmont area from Fri Oct 12 through probably Fri Oct 26th & would love to meet some other sleevers in the area while I'm in town. Thanks!
  3. Wow! Thanks Chica!! I hope you're doing well today.
  4. My psych told me that if I WEREN'T nervous then she'd be concerned! I'm going through the same thing. I've never had surgery, never had anesthesia, never stayed overnight at a hospital. Yes, I am a bundle of nerves. But I keep reminding myself how great life is going to be & and how much better i am going to feel once I get this weight off 8)
  5. Thank you!! I've been following you since I signed on back in the spring. I am so happy for you!!!
  6. Surgery is a week from tomorrow. Lost 6.4 lbs so far on the pre-op diet. Hopefully I can pick up speed & lose another 6-8 this week
  7. I feel it's because she's uninformed & scared for me.
  8. Everyone's opinion is valid; however, I personally believe in God & pray continually that I am making the right decision & that he is walking beside me, or carrying me, through this. I requested KINDLY WORDED responses. If you do not believe in God or that this is not a God issue, then I kindly request that you not reply to this post. Thank you.
  9. Thank you, Liz. You are absolutely right that she will come through for me when I need her. I truly feel that it IS pre-conceived notions that are forming her words right now, which, again, proves my reason for asking for help with this situation. I once had pre-conceived notions as well, when I was in my mid-teens & heard of an older family friend having her stomach stapled back in the 80s. She, unfortunately, only lived a few years longer, if that long.
