  1. I'll be watching the answers to this. I am pre op and didn't know that protein shakes were even on the clear diet stage.
  2. I am also pre op, but this is what I have so far: I already have small plastic containers. Unjury Unflavored Protein Powder Unjury Chicken Protein Powder Premade sugar free Jell-o and Pudding Sugar Free Jell-o and Pudding mixes Isopure Magic Bullet type blender (but the brand is Cuisinart) Chike 5 flavor single serve packets (free plus shipping) Sugar Free popsicles Chewable vitamins for hair and nails Chewable multi vitamins
  3. Congrats! How are you feeling?
  4. one prob coming in from a Deb something. I just texted her.
  5. I have many sizes in my closet, it is soo crammed. I am going to keep a bin in there, and if I put something on and it is too big, it is going right in the bin!
  6. I think they call it morning breath for a reason. I have never understood those movies where the couple wake up and start kissing. I am thinking "EWWWW, go brush your teeth!"
  7. If you are already vegan, then you are probably used to planning. Start calculating things now to see how much of things you eat that will get you to your daily protein needs.
  8. I am the same, I don't want to tell anyone. It is hard because my mother and best friend are the kind of people that have to know where you are at all times. So I have come up with such tales as to where I am going to be. I am thinking I will tell them in the day or so after the surgery. I understand why you are not telling them. You don't want to take a single moment away from this joyous occasion. And quite possibly they would be completely supportive, albeit worried. As a Libra, I am no help, I see both sides of this dilemma, so you have to do what feels right for YOU right now. You will be able to hold that little bundle of joy when you are home from surgery. I think they say you can't lift more than 20-25(?) pounds, so you will be safe. (Heaven help your daughter in law if it is more than that!)
  9. I just sent a friend request - Jennifer Olin Korman. Thanks for setting it up!
  10. What will Amazon think of me if I search for Ben Wa Balls? What will they suggest in the future, I wonder. Well, I already bought 50 Shades of Grey, so they may recommend rope or something.
  11. I get "But you look great!" From thin people usually. I love that my one friend that is in a similar weight situation as me, saw a picture of me and said - but you still are a beautiful woman, big, but beautiful. I know what she meant and it was a real compliment.
  12. Would miso qualify as a clear? I am guessing yes.
  13. I saw an ad today for a snow cone machine for $30 at Target
  14. That is a great feeling, congrats - you will be in those 4's in no time.
  15. Wow, and I thought I fast tracked! (3 weeks). I am happy for you that you are able to move this quickly to share your journey with your mother in law. I
  16. I also have fibroids. I had it done two summers ago and it was the best thing ever. You have be sure that you are done having (or not having) babies. I had it done because my periods were so heavy that I had to cancel life when it came for the first day or two. I was also quite anemic. Now, I don't need anything more than a liner if I get it all, that is.
  17. So glad I had Novasure and don't have to worry about this stuff anymore!
  18. I'll be watching the answers, my surgery is next week.
  19. My surgery is next week and I am going out to lunch with my best friend, for what I assume is the last time. A huge part of me wants to tell her, but I am not in the mood for the questions. So far, the only person that knows is my husband, and he is so supportive, I don't feel like the potential for negative energy at this point. BUT, I can't stand the lie that I have told her about where I am going next week. She is thin and will ultimately be happy and supportive of me as I lose.
  20. I hope we can, I am not yet sleeved. I do kickboxing (Muay Thai) and hope I can go back once I am healed.
  21. Congrats on being sleeved!
  22. And low sodium V-8 just got added to the shopping list! Good luck with your journey! I know the postings you are talking about, don't worry about that. As a fellow newbie, I do encourage the search functions. I kind of scratch my head when I see basically the same question over and over right next to each other, but I find that people are still willing to help out answering the same questions over and over. Most are so supportive. I am sure I will be asking some of those same questions next week after my surgery.
