They got me in about a week or two from the day it was scheduled. I started my preop diet 1 week early. This allowed me time for an slip-ups I might have trying to adjust. I have lost 10 lbs and still have 5 days to go! So I haven't lost to much, I seem to be right on the money. I bought the vanilla shakes from True Results (they are actually pretty good) and then I have chocolate Muscle Milk from Wal-Mart.

Wonderful news! Glad they helped you with the EGD. I wanted my srugery this week but the whole CA trip pushed it back a week. CONGRATS AGAIN! Oh, and enjoy your cruise.

I will not be banded until next week but I am already starting to feel a bit down. I feel like the people around me don't understand how it feels. I feel like i can't go out socially because I dont want to be tempted so I feel alone. I know this is only temporary and once I make the adjustment and recover things can start to go back to normal.... minus all the food and weight!

I had my surgery date the day I received approval from insurance. Are you waiting to hear back from your doctors office?

I am currently on the same diet as you and hav elost my 10lbs... with 5 days to spare. I ate a salad but left it dry with no dressing. I also did marinade my chicken, i needed some taste. I just didn't over do it.

I have BCBS Anthem... It took them a week to approve. I would give them at least a week. I was that person that called every other day and only became more discouraged every time they said no.

I feel the same way, but I keep telling myself soon I will be better and sexier than ever!

My advocate is Rachel. I would call and tell the receptionist you need to schedule an EGD with Dr Hollis and see who she sends you too.

My insurance approved. I have Anthem BCBS and they answer within a week of submitting the paperwork so they did me a favor and get me a temp surgery date. I was approved last wednesday. I would ask your advocate if she knows how long your insurance typically takes to respond and when you might be looking at a sugery date. I am very impatient so i kept calling to make sure papers were submitted and insurance was reviewing. I didn't want the ball to get dropped. Who is your advocate?

I am going through True Results Houston as well and they scheduled my EDG with the surgery who will be doing my Lapband. Call and speak with your advocate and have her help you schedule the procedure.

I was told you can fluctuate between 4-8 lbs... I wouldnt weigh again until its gone.

I get my first one six weeks after augury. My doctor said to get a fill once a month to help with the consistent weight loss.
