Every time I took my pain meds I ate another gas x strip. I must have had 6 a day because I would she up through the night in pain and walk and take more medicine. I'm still depressed.... Home alone today while everyone is at a BBQ.

I am 6 days post op and had a tough time with the gas pain. I like to think I have a pretty high pain tolerance but the gas brought me to tears a couple of times. It gets better just rest, walk, and take your pain meds.

Happy 4th to you too!! I purchased the tasteless Protein from unjury but since I am eating so little I don't feel that I am absorbing very much protein. I'm sure it will get better. I'm just in the regret phase and go nothing but think about foods I can't eat.

I'm day 5 post off and it's the first day I feel like a human. Walking helped me. I even got up throughout the night to walk.

I guess it depends on the location. You skin will shrink, so you tattoo might change a little bit. If I were you I would wait.

Is there a reason I shouldn't have any type of dairy within the first two weeks of sugery?

I think cereal might be a bit to much. I would try oatmeal first.

Need Help With Liquid Diet

No worries. I did too and still lost 10 lbs. I was allowed two shakes And one high protein low carb meal. My favorite was fajitas with no tortillas and no rice. -
I have had a hard time eating and have lost 7 lbs in the last four days, so I was hoping to try something besides broth. So far, so good. I only got about a half a cup down but it wa amazing!

I had my LB surgery Wednesday of this week. I had quite a large hernia repaired at the same time. I have a heaving feeling on my chest most of the time and it is painful to take a deep breathe. I have been using the breathing machine that was given to me. Is this normal?

I have managed all of the gas and incision pain but these chest pains feel like they might be the death of me. How long should this last?

Is the allergen band just a brand or does it actually differ from other bands?

I do feel a little better this morning. It no longer feels like an elephant on my chest, more like a large dog. I am going go attempt to get out and walk around another store today. -

I am in the same boat. Everyone went out to dinner tonight and I didn't because i am still in week one liquids. -
I have been walking even managed to make a trip to walmart today. It was nice to see something outside of this house! Thanks for all of the advice. Hopefully it will get better before I have to go back to work Monday.

I have been using gas x and a heating pad religiously since surgery. I actually sleep with the heating pad on my chest. I'll have to try rocking.

I was just banded Wednesday. I have called the doctor and have been told it's normal I just have to ride it out.

I am starting to feel better, going to get out of the house today. Most of my gas pains are gone but this chest pain is killing me. It only feels a little better when I walk. -

From my initial consult to actually being banded took me four and a half weeks. Everything was in the fast track. -

It was a hiatal hernia repair. I'm glad to see I'm not alone. I was beginning to worry. I thought all my gas pain was over but I started belching a while ago and cant seem to stop. Hopefully this will be gone within the next couple of days. -

Yes, gasx strips, walk and heating pad. I'm only two days post op and my gas is almost gone. I had really bad gas pains too.
