On Your First Fill, How Many Cc's Did You Get?

I got 3.5 cc's on my first fill in a 10 cc band. I'm scared to get any more after the time I have had the last two weeks. -
After two weeks of a very sensitive stomach or a very tight band, I am able to tolerate one meal per day plus shakes and yogurt. Maybe by next week I'll be able to have solids. Wish me luck!

Every time I eat food I get sick. Since my fill I have been on mostly liquids. This is not normal.

I don't know if this is restriction or swelling but I can't eat much of anything. Lost 2 pounds! I know this will not last on just the first fill.

My first fill is tomorrow. Yippee! It has been the longest 7 weeks EVER. I hope this fill helps because I'm frustrated!

Travel And Blood Clots

I had my surgery on June 4 and flew to New Mexico on June 20. My surgeon put me on aspirin every day while I returned. The aspirin helped keep good circulation since my trip was so soon after my surgery. I didn't have any problems while I was gone. Check with your surgeon for suggestions. Congratulations on being banded! -
9 days post-op and feeling good. I'm eating regular food with no problems. I just need to chew longer. Old habits are hard to break!

Day 8 post op and feeling normal again. The Dr. said I can eat soft proteins and stay hydrated.

I was also banded 6/4 and everyday I feel better. The heating pad was a life saver. I'm hoping to take a trip to New Mexico on the 20th. I hope I'm feeling whole again by then.

Vacation Either Before Or After Surgery

My pre-op diet was 2 weeks of low calorie low carb. Not a liquid diet. My husband and I went away for the weekend to Celebrate our anniversary. It was very difficult to stick to my diet. I did good for the most part but I did get to eat some things that are not allowed in the liquid diet like chicken and other lean meats which kept me satisfied. Even on this diet it was hard to resist. My advice would be to stay home and avoid any possible places that could sabotage your efforts. I lost 14 pounds pre-op but it was a challenge being away from home. I was banded 6/4 and feeling good so it will be worth your sacrifice. Good Luck!! -
Banded Today -Gas Is Killing Me, Help

I had surgery yesterday and the heating pad has been a life saver. It is really helping my port pain and gas pain. -
Surgery in the am. I hope that liver is small enough. I don't think I'll be getting much sleep tonight.

I realize there is a lot of work that comes with having the band but stories like this makes it all worth it. I am looking forward to an experience just like this one. My kids love the amusement park but they dont realize how hard it is for me to go. That's all about to change! Thanks for the encouragement.

I have BCBS il and got my approval in 5 days. I called just to check on the approval and they told me over the phone that it was approved. I was shocked it was already done. I immediately called my Dr. and they got the ball rolling for my surgery date. We had already discussed it possibly being June 4 but that approval confirmed it. I didn't get the actual approval letter in the mail until a week later. I can't wait!!!

I'm down 4 lbs on the pre-op diet (yay me!!) I've been exercising and drinking a lot of water. I feel really good so far.
