  1. Stalls are apart of the deal. Remain focus and keep doing what's right.....I've been stalling for around three months' date=' but I have lost inches..

I've even bought smaller clothes but the scale haven't moved... Its coming!!![/quote']

Glad to know I'm not the only one who's experienced this. I sat at a stall for 2 1/2 months. Slowly getting the ball rolling sgain. My husband always tells me don't worry about t he scale just consistently get my activity in and the inevitable will be.....so chg focus to doing what right like previously stated. All the best to you guys.

  2. My arms, stomach and inner thighs are horrible. But I can hide my pannus and thighs with a good girdle. My arms depress me at times. Trying to get insurance to pay for surgery once I lose about 50 more pounds. But I'd still have surgery all over again with same skin issues.

  3. I'm having surgery on May 22nd' date=' Dr. Woodman is doing my surgery! My wife juts got sleeved on May 13th so I've been watching her, so I know what to expect ha! Looking forward to my surgery ready to get it over with! I was told to lose 18lbs and I've lost 32lbs, at times I think man I just lost 32lbs without surgery do I really need this, but then I'm like yeah might as well do it that way I don't relapse ha[/quote']

All the best to you and your wife. Dr. Woodman is an awesome surgeon. He's a bit blunt but its necessary.

  4. Hi everyone I'm really pleased I found this site ' date='I've done all the necessary steps required for the sleeve , I'm just waiting to hear from my insurance company it's been three weeks and I'm getting a little anxious I guess is anyone from the DFW. Area? What Drs. Are you using? Hopefully the insurance will hurry up so I can have the surgery in May.[/quote']

Call insurance. ...may be approved already

  5. Thank you so much for reaching out! Congratulations on the 20 pounds! What is your current position? Sleeved or Waiting? What foods did you eat or liquids did you choose?

No prob....I ate salad with fst free vinaigrette dressing and Protein. chicken, turkey etc. No carbs or sugar. No meals after seven. No carbs besides complex carbs in fruit. Water, water water. ....I put cucumbers in mine to help with flavor. My surgeon did not put on any liquid diet or anything of the sort. He simply said you need to lose x amt of weight or I will cancel surgery. I had surgery 10/16/2012 and have lost 85 pounds so far.

  6. Hi all! My husband and I will be relocating to Memphis' date=' and I'm wondering if there's a support group or others in the area who would like to get together and chit chat. I was sleeved almost a year ago on May 30, 2012 and have lost 140lbs, going from 325 to 185. I've been at a stall for close to two months due to traveling and poor food choices, but I'm looking into joining ATC Fitness or Planet Fitness in Bartlett with my husband to get back on track and would love to have someone else to work out with. As far as a support group goes, I have not been to one and am struggling with the mental and emotional issues of losing so much weight and also finding who I am again since I had behind the "fat girl" all throughout my life. Any feedback or friendships would be greatly appreciated![/quote']

Welcome....I was sleeved 10/16/2012....I've lost 85 pounds since. I too have stalled since I joined the workforce and have not been able to work out with same intensity as I did when my schedule was free. Dr. George Woodman did my surgery and I know they offer suppory groups along with nutrition assistance. I hope you are getting settled in. My gym preference is WellWorx, its a place the whole family can benefit from.

  7. Hello All' date='

Super excited that I found this group... I am 25 years old and have been considering weightless surgery for years. I started in Feb 2013 on my journey and there have been so many bumps in the road. Currently I am on a Quest to lose 30 pounds before my surgery will give me a set date for my sleeve....I am currently doing 5 Protein Shakes and 1 healthy choice meal for dinner.... I have an amazing husband who has been completing this diet with me but I am scared that I won't be able to follow it for 6 weeks let alone lose the 30 pounds I need to. Just really looking for advice and support!!!![/quote']

Yes you will....whst you really want you will work hard for. I didn't think I'd be able to lose the 13 pounds my doc req'd and ended up losing 20 in 3 weeks. I was rea lly gettin it in on the elliptical and pretty much ate fruit salad and little to no carbs. You'll surprise yourself. All the best!

  8. I love this thread also. I have been checking in periodically and it has been so encouraging and informative. I had my surgery on Aug 17th 2012' date=' HW 348. Best decision I have ever made just for me. I have had a lot of struggles including having my gallbladder removed a month later but would do it all again to feel this good. Blessings to you/us all on this journey;-)[/quote']

I started at 346, surgery was October 16 2012 and today I'm 263. How much have you lost so far, if you don't mind me asking?
