    It Feels Amazing!

Me too! Never been able to do that! Maybe this should be my final goal! Haha. Sounds fun! My husband would love that!
  3. Long story short I am scheduled for my surgery on Nov. 6th. I am very excited about it but I am also very worried but not for the obvious reasons. My husband and I have struggled with our weight together our entire relationship (8 yrs.). We have tried to diet just about the entire time and always have failed. Now that I am having my sleeve done I am so excited and I feel like I finally have hope that I wont be this way forever. One of my main concerns is that my husband is clueless about the surgery and what I will be going through. I feel like he has no idea what I am about to experience. I encourage him to research stuff with me and become educated about this process, but he doesnt seem to care. I am afraid that I am going into this ready to change so many things in my life, but he is going to be in shock when it happens. I want him to know what I am going through and really learn so that he can be a good support person. He is completly supportive that I am getting my sleeve, but he says that he just wants to make me happy so I am not sure how he really feels. He says he plans on dieting with me and trying to loose weight and work out, which I really hope he does and I will try my hardest to do my part. I guess my question is what can I do now to get him totally onboard and educated about what I am about to go through? Has anyone else been through this or have any advice? Thanks so so much!
  4. I think as long as you are not feeling bad then you are fine. But that is just my opinion.
  5. I am one week out too. My doctor says that anything soft that my stomach can tolerate is ok. I have had egg salad, cottage cheese, fish. Amount many other full liquids.
  6. I am an Election Day sleeved too. I am doing good. Not getting in enough Protein or Water yet but still trying. Still have some incision pain in my belly button but it gets better day by day. I was surprised to see many of you at the gym already. I am a mother of 3 and can barely stay awake long enough for the kids bedtime. Is anyone else suffering from headaches? These are the same type of headaches I use to get when I drank caffeine but I haven't done that for years now. Only issues I am having are tiredness, incision pain, and not enough protein yet.
  7. I was asking around the same question. My thinking was that I ate fast food all the time and not great sources of Protein before surgery. Now all the focus is on so many grams of protein. Why is this? Is it just for the fact of eating healthy or is it something more? I hope this wasn't confusing. Lol I know the reason I gained weight was because of my eating habits. Is the emphasis on protein just to become and stay healthy?
  8. I would suggest to pack light. My most needed things were my robe. It made me feel so much more comfortable walking around the halls. Also chap stick. My mouth and lips were so so dry! Other than that the hospital had everything. Good luck with your surgery. I am almost a week out now. =)
