A Sudden End To Food Funerals
Mater replied to Bedhead's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree Dooter. Staying busy helps me too. I will say that the liquid diet hasn't been as bad as I thought it would. I did however attend many food funerals prior to the start of my liquid diet. Now I have decided that food is my enemy and I will kick its butt. -
Of course your before and after pics Lil Miss make it much easier........ You have done fantastic. Congrats!

Well, for one that is on the preop liquid diet those commercials are a cruel joke!!!!! A supersized quater pounder with cheese meal sure does sound good to this fat boy. I'm gonna stick with the delicious broth and protein shakes but boy does a carton of those fries sound awesome........

Need Some Advice - Don't Know What To Do Or Say..

And the crowd goes wild!!!!! A standing ovation to Amanda!!!! -
I agree with you Lyra. I have grown to like the protein shakes. I do feel better without all the crap in my system from the fast food joints. Like you I haven't been sleeved yet. I am in the middle of my liquid diet right now because I get sleeved in five days. Good Luck..... P.S. When you are out and about and need some fast food go to your local snow cone shop and get a cup of shaved ice. Then pour your premixed protein shake over it and there ya go. A protein snow cone. I really like it.

Need Some Advice - Don't Know What To Do Or Say..
Mater replied to LovingHusband1979's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
So, welcome to the real world.... The only closed minded person here is you sir. Second, I wasn't talking bad about your wife. I was talking about you. I would continue except there is no need because you are finished with this forum. Goodbye.... Ok, just one more thing. The only misunderstanding person on here is you. You can't even hear what you are saying. -
Need Some Advice - Don't Know What To Do Or Say..

Wow, I have to say you should probably get behind her or lose her. Even from a man's point of view. You are being way to critical of her by comparing her to others. If you love her you will support her. Are you sure you aren't just worried about her getting skinny and confident and leaving your negative personality in her dust? Maybe you've been there before. That woman who lost 80 lbs is your ex for a reason! -
Me too.......... I have been freaking out having to wait. I am getting sleeved on Feb. 7th.

Wow, this is hard to talk about yourself. I was a police officer for ten years. I was always heavy but could still run and keep up with the p.t requirements. I lost my first wife and son in a dui accident and decided to change careers. I am now an electrical technician in a tire manufacturing plant. I am remarried and have three daughters. I ate my stress away and am now ready to kick this weight. I am having the gastric sleeve on Feb 7th and can't wait. I know that police officer to electrical tech is a huge jump but I went to college and have a degree in engineering. When I graduated I had a job at Texas Instruments but was laid off. I figured that policemen didn't get laid off so I thought what the heck. I just didn't have the stomach for the gore after my family was killed. It changed my outlook.
