  1. I had my surgery 2/7/12 and have been at my size for 4 months. I started at 370 and was 350 the day if my surgery. I'm 244 now and have been for a while.... I lost fast but I was in reasonably good shape for a big guy.... I had to be able to pass fitness tests where I work...
  2. Yeah, 225 may be a little small for me as well.... That's the Docs goal for me.... I'm ok where I'm at I just need to lose a little more flab around the middle..... If I can replace that weight with muscle I'd be good...
  3. I won't see it because my lean weight is 200 pounds.... I'm 6'3" and large framed. My goal is 225 and I'm at 244.... I'm just a big guy
  4. I would never admit crying but I love being able to buy jeans that fit right. I wear western jeans and when I was big they looked like I had taken a dump in my pants and the pockets were way far apart.... Now I can buy jeans that look good with a shirt tucked in........ Keep up the good work... The more you lose the more you wanna shop!!!
  5. Congrats..... I will never see the onederland but I remember when I got to my twonderland!!! It's awesome....
  6. It seems to me that everyone is different........ I was sleeved on feb 7th and I have lost 51ish. I haven't lost any in about a week now though. It seems to matter how much you have to lose. I have a couple friends that have lost more and one that is losing slower. In our case it seems that the ones that have more to lose have lost more and vise versa. Just my two cents.
  7. I made it to my onederland......299...lol

  8. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'm at a stall myself. I went from 350 at the start of my pre-surgery liquid diet. I lost down to 307 and now have gained to 308 and have stayed there the last few days. I can't wait to have a 2 in the first place of my weight. Stalls bite!!!

    Oh Beef, Where Art Thou?

I totally feel ya on that. My last meal before the start of my liquid diet was a way too big rib eye. I live in beef country and it was a fresh cut from the local meat shop not the supermarket. I had them cut it about an inch and a half thick. I grilled it on my back patio for just a few minutes on each side. Man was it tender and juicy. Yeah, I'm gonna eat one again. Or, atleast a piece of one.
  10. I'm only 4 1/2 days out and I can't seem to do the clear liquids. I started full liquids and that seems to help. I'm liking cream of potato soup. I put it in the blender just to make sure there is no lumps. I have re fried beans in the pantry waiting on me. How soon did you start on the musical fruit???
  11. Okay, I'm not really what you would call an expert on the cramps. I do however feel something ball up inside and yes it pulses three or four times. Then it is gone. It's not a small pain though. It's pretty stout for just a few seconds.
  12. I'm really digging some sugar free apple cider my wife and I found at the Big Store (Wal-Mart)...... It tastes good to me and the warmth seems to help the pouch.
  13. No rant needed............. Why do you think we have two middle fingers......... Use em or lose em!!! There is always a picture after you are done with you loss. All you need is a little black dress and a copy of Toby Keiths "How Do You Like Me Now" To top it off mail it to her COD........... I WIN!!!
  14. Captain, I totally understand the big and in shape problem. I was a swat officer for 10 years. I was always in the high 2's close to 300 but could still run and do my pt test to stay on the team. I was the slam guy so a little extra size never hurt. Then I moved to the reserve division and went to work doing what I went to school for. It was no time until I was way to big. It's all good now though. I will be back to size in no time. Then my gear will start to fit again...lol.

    Liquid Diet And Starving

For me the liquid diet got much better around day 4. That is when I stopped being hungry all the time.
  16. Yeah, the ride thing really bites........ I feel more embarrassed for my kiddos than I do for me. I'm a big guy and still will be after I lose weight. That being said I should not be so big that I can't ride a dang roller coaster.
  17. Well, here goes nothing. I have made it to the brink of the new life. I get sleeved in just a few hours. Those of you who have been before know the things I'm feeling at this moment and the others will be here soon.
  18. I don't have any tips for you but I am in the same boat. My surgery was on the 7th and things don't taste the same to me either. I normally love crystal light lemonade. I asked for some at the hospital and it didn't even taste like lemonade to me. I tried some lime jello and the same thing. I have been drinking fuzzy navel protein drinks and they don't really taste great. I am thinking about starting the next stage and try drinking the full liquids. I'm not sure what to do but I need to take more in.
  19. Thanks for your post Royboy. I am in the post surgery shock stage right now and I'm not liking it very much. I know that I made the right decision and I know that this will all be worth it in a couple more weeks. Just hearing you say what I already know helps. Thanks again.
  20. Hey Guys, I'm still alive. I was doing good at the hospital. I think the ride home may have almost killed me. Every little bit of gas was shaken up on the ride home. I have read it before on here but the gas pain is the killer. I think if I had stayed at the hospital another day or maybe had we gotten a hotel room and let the gas pass before the trip home I would have been much better off. I don't want to scare anyone but be ready for the gas pain. Then again I had the three procedures and that probably didn't help anything either. I would still do it again. I'm just ready to be a couple months down the road!!!
  21. Thanks to everyone of you...... I have been pretty doped up today.... All is well. I am sore but not overwelmingly. I had three procedures rolled into one though. I had the sleeve done as well as having my gall bladder removed. The doc also fixed a hiatal hernia while he was in there. They said I will be sore from all three different procedures in different areas. Even so it's no that bad. What is worse than the pain is that I can't have anything to drink until in the morning. Thats almost 36 hrs. without a drink. I am a Water drinking fool and I could really use some. For those of you that are still waiting you can rest assured that you can do it....... Thanks again, Mater
